Everyone on GC will receive an additional +20% income and production for the next 48 hours.
Note: Bonus is applied during turn use.
I.E Your current income, and or Food production * 1.2
If you are not receiving the bonus you should only need to relog for it to start showing up.

uc0 , uc1 and uc2 servers were blocked by our data center today. Although uc3 was working a number of players did not know of the address.
What happened ?
Someone spoof an email from spamcorp to our data center saying we are spammers and scammers.
Interestingly enough our data center failed to contact us because their email was blocked by yahoo due to spam although strangely their invoices always gets through. In the end I did not receive their email.
Our data center clearly did not verify the complain and went ahead to ban our server. A simple check on spamcorp would have verified it.

To make matters worst, I have been told that that `Donna B` , A SINGLE lady is in responsible for handling `admin` issues like ban for 200,000 servers, and that shes overloaded and will respond when she can.

What now ?
I would like to apologize for this inconvenience.
Everyone gets special DP and +2 paid day for this inconvenience as a small token of compensation for the trouble caused.
My thoughts
I wonder if you can sue the data center for having such low IQ ?

When IE didn`t bring up my home page yesterday, I knew it was my computer. I`ve got 2 other PCs on the same network, and they were fine. At some point I tried FireFox but there was no connection to my home page there either.
Now this part is just weird. I went to adjust and reseat the Cat5 cable, and my `puter shutdown. (???) I tried some old NICs that I had. No drivers for one, the other was bad to begin with. I guess I wasn`t thinking too clearly. I could connect to my router but couldn`t connect to GC.
So even with my new NIC, I was still having problems. I couldn`t connect! Maybe the short that caused the crash, damaged the slot too. So I moved the NIC to a new slot. Now, the AOL browser started to work.
At this point I went to bed. |
