99+ day(s) ago | Raist: I am not trying to say you should not buy the paids. Because anything that Ste allows, I cannot tell you not to. But I am trying to tell you that Ste is wrong by allowing people to spend several hundred dollars on their empire. But of course he wont do anything as all these money ends in his pocket.
I never liked the concept of getting the paid advantage either.
So to cut it short: The succes in this game should be based on the effort you put into it, and the skills you posses. Not how many US dollars you like to put into it. |

99+ day(s) ago | The ` real life money ` i spend is on Monthly paids. i get the paids. I then find someone who wishes to obtain the paid. they give me gordos. I give them a paid, the y give me a gordos. Barter system. doesn`t kill the game. It`s not making me Overpowered. My ability to diamond spam is what makes me over powered. However if you feel it`s wrong of me to take my money and buy Paids, let me know so i can understand you better. Because it seems like you`re trying to tell us we shouldn`t buy the paids... |

99+ day(s) ago | Why does that matter though PP, its not like anything is being introduced to the game to unbalance it. Would it be different if people bought gordos by agreeing to sell cheap ore, or lose borders? Or sell gordos to get players to join your fed?
If real money wasn`t a factor of this game, then paid status would always be purchased with in game credits, or gordos, or minerals. Every game ever made would have to be free in order to remove RL currency.
I paid real money to get more turns faster, and the ability to plunder multiple colonies, and dig up more artifacts. But yet this is not against the rules, because real money is part of this game.
Blizzard may not allow the sale of accounts and in game items through their EULA, but that doesn`t mean THEY won`t sell you upgrades to your accounts. I know there`s items you have to pay for etc...
Mostly rules like that are simply to prevent abuse, not because money unbalances games at all |

This is only allowed because Ste likes the money he gets from it better, than making a good game IMO. So the way I interpret what you say is that this is a compromise so that Ste can get some more money without things escallating at all servers.

The difference between paying ste 200 dollars for stuff and paying a player 200 dollars for stuff if that the player EARNED the stuff you`re buying. Ste could just click a button and give 1000 planets, or infinite artifacts, or whatever. No player can do that, a player can only sell what he earns, therefore you can only buy what someone has rightfully earned.
Its a market just like the in game market. People make minerals and sell them to those who don`t have any, or those who want more.
People make gordos, and sell those to people who don`t have any, or want more.
There`s nothing wrong with that |

Buying/Selling accounts, clusters/planets, fleets, etc.. is all against the rules yes
Buying/Selling/Trading artifacts in game for paids, artifacts, or (something else within the game rules) is completely acceptable..
So for example someone trading 24 gordos for one paid account is perfectly acceptable and lets some people who probably otherwise couldn`t get paid accounts.. enjoy a paid account..
The only thing that is really applied when gordos for paids is considered as far as i know.. is gordos to 1$ on paid accounts.. Which normally is 4 gordos per 1$ i believe..
in the end it`s still players work so makes it fair/limited..
Where as if it were stephen selling again.. he would have some insane donation offer of
50 regalos, or 50 gordos, or etc for $20.. on all servers Which would include slow..

As a buyer. What is the difference if you pay 200 dollars directly to Ste and get the cluster/planet you want. Or if you pay 200 dollars to abother player and get the cluster/planet you want. Your cost is the same, and the outcome is the same. Only thing that happened is that a guy came in between you and Ste in the second situation. |

They aren`t buying things out of thin air, making 100 gordos magically appear into their artifacts storage by paying 10 dollars.
These are artifacts that SOMEONE put a lot of work into digging up and fusing, but instead of using them on themselves they are using them on someone who gave them paid status.
You used to be able to get artifacts by donating to stephen and that was one of the features that ruined this game because its not the same as buying from another player, anything you get from another player means that it was rightfully earned.
Granted, UW`s and planets should not be transferable... but the point remains that its not like thousands of gordos are just appearing for people buying paids -__- |

Anyway.. That said, i think we could get rid of all these selling gordo threads, if stephen just opened a shop. I mean, why sell Gordos? He should sell Planets and clusters, then people dont even have to put the land on the planets by clicking the use artifact button..
Whats a fair price for a 100k land C2? Someone, cant remember who said it was at least 200 dollars.
Taking this to a more extreme lvl we could start buying UW fleets too, or maybe buy some more infra? |
