UberPansy 99+ day(s) ago | Keep voicing your opinion VALJA, and let the haters be ashamed. |
GradualIncline 99+ day(s) ago | If there were a hard reset of my empire, I`d leave, I`ll just throw that out there. I might UW my empire away, but I don`t want someone else taking it away from me just because. |
FlashysDomain 99+ day(s) ago | Infernal...you mentioned there wasn`t a game in existence that catered to all interests/ The old Federation game came darned close, if not succeeding. A lot of people were playing that game until the end. It couldn`t survive the internet transtion that came about in the early years. Alas ... |
Kraven 99+ day(s) ago | 5:02 PM 10/05/10 Biohazard bought 100,000 units of Composite for 100,000,000 $ !
cheers! get ready for much much more :) |
VALJA 99+ day(s) ago | there are times... but not often... but in RT, there are others who complained about the shortage...
go ahead now... a soft reset or hard reset in SFGC... i don`t care anymore... coz i`m no longer interest much in this game... i will only play and spend money on games that i can build long term... in SFGC, it has been a nice 6 yrs to me... i`be built my empire the way i want... i wish i could build it another 6 yrs but it will depend on Stephen...
anyway, i don`t feel like giving details about BM.. but it`s a simple mechanic... empires which can afford and able to stock up, let them be... how far they can stock up? when all max then what? ore... let them stock up ore... but with BM, the shortage of minerals won`t be that serious... make BM once a week... make it on weekend... make it a weekend sale...
shortage of minerals is weapon especially in war... economic embargoes have been used for ages during WW... so what`s gonna be? i know some players will only choose what suits them... they can say this is a wargame, get on with it... in war this and that... but when it doesn`t suit them, they will say otherwise... i`m not going to name names but they should know who they are...
some of us hate spammers but hey, this is a wargame... every tactic can be used to win any battle as long it`s legal in this game... i play guerilla tactic and i only hit targets that i know i can win and then i`ll hide so no one can attack me... so is it wrong? it has been done all the time during WW...
in this game i`m proudly claim that i`m forever a n00b when it comes to stacking... i hit arties to my enslavers with vengeance... i explore as IF the next planet is going to be the SUX type... i dig as IF every turn will give me either gente or a.base...
and i want SFGC to move further to higher height... is that too much to fight for? |
Infernal 99+ day(s) ago | oh my bad, i noticed that i didnt respond to your statement that theres nothing to spend on.
and that is an old problem where we have repeatedly said that there should be a hard reset of RT.
but all you geezers who dont like that idea keep fighting it, so what can we say? :P |
Infernal 99+ day(s) ago | as far as i can see...i can still get minerals whenever i need them on RT...despite how much i build i still dont have a shortage.
as for TB, i dont know about normal, but on every other server i do not see a mineral shortage. if anything ill say that people are too concerned with "stocking up" o__O |
VALJA 99+ day(s) ago | don`t you notice already Infernal? everyone`s leaving... the fighting is already slowing down without any mineral to build ships... i haven`t touched minerals for weeks and there`s still shortage...
why some of you all so scared of BM? regardless i`m fighting or not, i don`t have problem with BM... i knew how difficut to buy some minerals in TB`s servers... i have the money but no minerals to buy... and i`ve stopped attacking others for few days during that time... so it`s not much different in RT...
money is easy BUT how to spend is the problem in this game...
anyway Infernal... i couldn`t be bothered much where the game`s going frm now on... i might not leaving... i`m just hanging around... i don`t even fuse for days... and all my common orbs are at max... i think i`ve stopped caring like Stephen... go ahead... enjoy the game nowdays... coz i don`t... |
Infernal 99+ day(s) ago | shout and yell and b!tch for change all you want valja. simply put from a marketing perspective it makes absolutely NO sense to change a game(product) alteration that large.
not to mention there is no game in existence that caters to *all* categories heh.
all i can say is the day that GC is no longer a fighting war game, is the day a huge majority of the target audience will leave... |
Biohazard 99+ day(s) ago | I agree with Valja.
New leadership is needed for GC |
VALJA 99+ day(s) ago | there are few types of players in this game... new players... old players... short-term empires... long-term empires... players play to fight... players play to manage... strategists that use market as weapon... strategists that use the market as economic management...
but this game has been moulded just purely for fight as some would prefer it forever... some categories of players are being left out... when there are few suggestions to cater all the needs, it has been strongly objected by some quarters that think UC is for the rest who want some changes...
haven`t we learned? life evolves... and SFGC must do the same to survive...
honestly, i respect that Stephen can still let go (but not the ownership) of SFGC until the stage, he doesn`t bother much... i still can`t understand why; coz IF an owner of anything wants to do something, he can just do it... what point is he trying to prove?
i always mention this b4... a great game will cater all categories... more categories can be catered, more players will come and play... more players mean more money... but i respect Stephen for ignoring this fact... perhaps he owed his "life" to someone that is in the purist camp... :P
as for me... never been in my SFGC`s life i`ve slowed down my interest so much in this game for the past 6 yrs... when SFGC only revolve only to fight and nothing much else to do, it`s getting boring... perhaps the purists prefer that... but the best part, they push the blame on certain empires... :)
i`ve seen other games that know how to attact more players but SFGC is being withheld hostage by some quarters... :P
anyway, i couldn`t be bothered much whether SFGC is going to be soft reset or hard reset anymore... that`s how much i`ve no longer interest in SFGC... the purists think they`re right, let them be... i`ve seen "places" that know better how to treat their customer`s needs...
sorry Stephen... such a pity... sigh... |
Infernal 99+ day(s) ago | i really see no need for people on RT to actually have more than 10 mil of minerals lol. the only ones who use the most mins would be miners, and next being virals cos they have miner ships. |
Oblivion 99+ day(s) ago | I mean I suppose hoarding is neccessary for larger empires near max cash, but that still means there are more minerals being produced in RT than are being used... |
Oblivion 99+ day(s) ago | how is hoarding not the issue here when A. Miners are buying up most of the minerals... just had a lone A. miner buy 40 mil off me... |
Kraven 99+ day(s) ago | yeah, not-smart Hal is talking about me again...
/me scratches Hals eyes out! |
Oblivion 99+ day(s) ago | HAL the problem is on RT... on turnbased good luck selling minerals for anything above 600... |
HAL9000 99+ day(s) ago | I am coming out of vm tonight. i`ll bet 100 gordos that I get minerals returned to me within the week. |
GradualIncline 99+ day(s) ago | yeah then I could horde without feeling guilty :P |
Biohazard 99+ day(s) ago | still some more would be great.
Either you horders post some back or put BM back, i don`t care to buy at 2K$ it`s way better than buying noting |
GradualIncline 99+ day(s) ago | maybe if I had the time I`d build up for an UW then I`d be selling plenty of minerals on the market :P of course, if it succeeded then all those minerals would be cut down by 90%, but it`s the thought that counts right? :P |
