oh and i completely disagree miners can be lethal aggresive bastards if the will is there, and and you dont mind a challenge(and bitter defeats with fleets costing 10 times the turns of the one wiping you :S). Good thing about being miner thou is that if you become good enough to win more than half your battles with aspha, you will completely destroy people with any other race, heh |

So next time ytou seem a dirty borry spamming viral, you can finally hit with a decent missile ships, i mean Borry =10, Chlorite=9 do the math

And don;t even get me started on lyths and lictors and kyros Aragonites etc
Well i suppose worst comes to the worst my advice to miners is...
a) Hide in DP all your lives sell minerals, make money and roll around in your big gold bath of money
b) Come out low pr and collect counters, (works best as mineral miner) then when you have enough counters, 1-2 days later spam up to high pr with 2 crud c-2`s and counter everyone to heck =P
c) Equal stack spam, use neutrals, remember that miner is a defensive race and that a hull is your friend, Virals are your greatest enemy, so approach carefully with fodder top and big hull class below, keep straf in the middle and big ships lower. To fight successfully as a Miner you need to be a VERY good stacker, you have a limited reperoire so use it wisely and study your enemy
d) To be honest alot of miner ships suck, so for you many a time ( unless you flysch spam ) defense is the best form of offence I.e let them hit you, they`ll either lose or spam for 1-2 and get them back
If you don;t like that style of play you are playing the wrong race, miners were designed to make lots of money, feed the market and fight defensively ( i.e protect what they already have )
I agree Miner ships are unbalanced , nbut either stick to the challenge or try something where you can have ships that actually do damage ( again if you flysch spam this doesn;t count, as 1 ship spamming sucks balls =) |
