i was on teh chat this morning and i was talkign with some of the us players and we think it woudl be cool to battle in a special event or somethig between uc and gc . what does everyone think about it ?
Is it possible at all for that to happen in a special event ? |

99+ day(s) ago | the easiest event that I could think of would be to import a UC player`s fleets into a bot, then have it try to set off an UW without ever building any more ships, since I believe the have much, much higher prs than we do. The top, however number empires in terms of damage gaining some gordos or PCs or regs as rewards.
Otherwise you could import several bots, to resemble each system a UC player would have, then have the rewards handed out on the basis of who killed which bot. That or make the rewards decent colonies that would be taken as they were knocked down and defeated.
Any other event, especially one that would attempt to combine the system/colony system, or the # of planets UC players have with amount of land we do, or combining the players from each game, would just be doomed to failure, and would degrade the playing experience, maybe for UC players, but definately for us.
That and anything along those lines would require Stephen, and I don`t think anyone, Stephen or otherwise, would want to put in the time, and work to code, debug, test, balance, and otherwise perfect something that would only be an event, an event that would, essentially be on the level of a completely new game!
But that`s just my opinion |

2) That would also NEVER HAPPEN because too many of the gc/uc rules clash with one another, making a joint battle system nearly impossible.
3) The planet system is completely different over there, which means when we stole planets we wouldn`t be able to use them and vise-versa. Another reason this will NEVER HAPPEN
4) If everything that needed to be done to make it possible SOME HOW actually happened, it would be all for nothing, because everyone here in GC would complain that all the admin time was wasted just so we could n00b hunt on a larger scale. :P |

two that would involve a 3rd party like the DM server, which probably not equipped for the load of UC & GC war. plus it would involve a Merging of the 2 different games which would be like writing the code for a totally new game.
So this would never happen. GC hasnt gotten an Update from Stephen in a long time & i dont think he remembers much of GC`s code so i dont expect anything to happen here soon so get use to it. |
