Galleon is still rather strong when paired with another Collective ship spam, like say, the Schooner. >_>. My Collective Stacking always fails against that specific two ship stack, at least at around my comfy range anyways (1-2mil power). It could just mean that I need to think of something else to throw at it though.

i am leary of messing with galleon. it depends on this ship that`s replacing the MOW. I think galleon isn`t that overpowering. Spamming it just doesn`t ensure a victory and is rather risky.

I will write it here then since it seems appropriate, I do not believe at all that the Galleon needs to be changed. Whenever I go to higher prs I am always stacking and rarely spamming unless it is for a purpose. Also it is not very often (if ever) that I trust my colonies to a galleon spam, rather risky if you ask me.

righty then for our hopefully final fix on this race

some ships had a very rough update to help them do the jobs they do , my main issue at the moment is the galleon and the MoW

my suggestion is a rebalance of the galleon and deletion of the MoW , in MoW`s place a new H class ship to do jobs now needed from the galleon rebalance

so in rough a nerf to the galleon ( remake ) however a new ship replacing the MoW ( offencive and H class to compensate )

i think the main problem with collective at the moment is they are very spam + dummy reliant when they have such awesom ships to stack with

I always thought the Man-o-War was supposed to be crabpy... The Collective kinda sucked at making bases leaving Organic/Assimilated Base artifacts everywhere in the universe trying to make the Man-o-War in the first place. That alone sadly, probably justifies this thing we rarely use.

being collective you almost never build starbases in dp, at least not alone, so why dont we drop MoW and make a nice defensive ship that can be used while attacking, it doesnt even have to be a h ship, i will settle with a r one. Lets face it a race that cant explore should have starbases, you are constantly attacking to survive and a starbase doesnt fit.

i like that the ship is being nerfed in nearly every area that matters... at least it will be like a weak version of queens now (+1 strafez in my stacks, woot...)

yer but then if u see them spamming ships you can spam this sb which pwns caps....

also it would be leathful against caps in stacks as well

twu your ship seems good, but capital ships are usually spamed on carefull against collective, my question is, were your test with 1 stack or did you take into acount the spam? because in order to be effective against capital ships it should be beat from at least 200% otherwise the spaming will still be effective.

if anything i think it would be 2 strong...
caps cnt beat it on carefull and they only get pwned more as they hit on normal and agro...

same with destroyers as they hit normal and carefull the amout of damage they do goes drastically down
plus its ment to be a starbase

I would up the hull to 400, or 425. The current build rate of 40 seems fine. Why slow `em down further? It`s pretty slow build for a SB

Do collectives need another strafez-based ship? Why the damage type change?

What was wrong with the initial SB?

I agree that the MoW starbase is near useless. No Collective in their right mind would sit around and wait for someone to attack them (main use of purely defensive ships). I understand the point that some people like to have starbases while attacking so if they get wiped in their attack they don`t become completely defenseless, but most Collective players would surely rather have a strong defensive ship they CAN use while attacking. We suffer from lack of defense! Though, arguably, it is mostly made up for by our offensive ships.

Anti Nirv/Pyth ship for Collective? I support it 210%. :)

well i thought i would give it a go >.<
my idea was to create an anti cap star base (mainly pyth and niv) that is very weak to most destroyers.... (eg trying to get people to use more destroyers against collectives instead of just nivs and pyths)
