Rookie mistake on the Industry and only two small ferts but the food adds up quickly but not too fast, helping me choose times to sell. With 4 Ferts when I had them I had to post food at max on the market every day just to keep from selling cheap (food bank was maxed so I kept putting 500mil into the market every day at the highest price waiting for someone to buy all of the cheap food).
I work 64 hrs @ week so playing time is minimal but I have been able to save a little cash since Deil's UW (1,000,060,687,156 $)
Just saying; a little research on Agriculture and a couple of Ferts for a Commercial Terran, works. |

99+ day(s) ago | And one of the reasons why terrans can actually be on par or have greater food with collective has partly to do with race mods and clusters. With terran, you start out at 20% and get food bonuses on your clusters. When you get a c3, you can get a 30% bonus to food on top of your race mods.
Conversely, with collective, the opposite is true. While you start out with 50% production, your production goes down the more planets you accumulate. Similar c2 has -5% and it goes up to a whopping -20% by the time you reach c4. Granted, you still make a lot of food, but it would make more sense to gordo a single planet and get tons of land on that one planet than it would to actually accumulate clusters.
And if that weren`t enough, terrans can have 50k c3s and there is a relatively bountiful supply of clusters to win and fuse together. However, since there are so few high land collectives, your prospect of actually winning something you can use and cluster is low. So, in the long run, terrans can get the advantage in sheer land count and whatever mod bonus the collective had over agri terran is diminished. |

Collective simply doesn`t have the kind of build rates that other races enjoy (although since the build rate decrease of capital ships from all races, this has become less of a problem). And if you said that before the ship and build rate update for collective, i might have actually agreed as making a c4 would have been a huge accomplishment for any collective back then given the really really low build rates.
But right now, collective has it pretty sweet with ships, and if a collective has good agriculture levels and is patient they can have a better economy than other races.
Now, granted, terrans in the long run can make far more food than collectives can. I know because I am an agri terran on fast and a collective on normal. With good research levels and good-excellent size C3s, and given the right food prices, it can be pretty uber being agri terran. I won`t lie. You can make so much food that you could easily be a victim of your own success. On fast, there were a lot of food producers to begin with and food went down to 4-5. But when I got my clusters, you might say it dropped to what is effectively a food price of 2 (you could try to sell at 3, but good luck). Yet even at that price I manage to make the bottom of the rich list if I stay out of the high PR levels.
Yet, conversely, on normal server, I and another collective are in the top 10 richest empires in the server. You tell me that economy on collective has bad economy and I will laugh at you. Plus, although terran can build those nice fancy cap ships at a faster rate than my collective ships, I defy you to try to win a battle with collective as terran with a spam attacking on careful. Even with fed war advantage, you`d be lucky if you won. ^_^ |

99+ day(s) ago | 80 bill in 6 weeks is VERY bad for an RT agri empire. Agri viral makes even more than that, so would maru if you managed to get and hold planets
As agri terran I make up to 10 biull-30 bill in the first week of setting up the empire, spending over 10 bill on exploring for ferts/C2 components.
