Planet Terra, more than two weeks after lab outbreak:
"It's been almost a week since we've lost communication with System LN23. If it were simply a technical failure, it would have been fixed by now. We suspect the hand of a Marauder flotilla that has been harassing the local systems in that area lately, which is why I need you, Admiral Morgan, to personally oversee an investigation force and determine the exact cause of this disturbance."
"Do we really need this many ships to investigate a small scale Marauder incursion, sir?"
"We don't want to take any chances, Admiral. That system is one of our only ones that we currently have a strafez organism extractor set up in. In order to continue our research with this material, we need the planet in LN23 that contains it."
"Understood, sir. We'll have this situation sorted out within the week."
Meanwhile, back in System LN23:
Victor held up the struggling Marauder captive by his neck.
"Tell me, creature, is that fear in your eyes? Is it death that you fear so much? I can assure you that I will deal you something far more cruel."
Through Victor's choking grip, the unlucky Marauder tried to beg for his life.
"Please, have mercy! If it is slaves you desire, we will work. We are not unaccustomed to such labo-"
"Silence!" Victor's grip tightened, "I am glad you offer your services, because that is exactly what I had in mind!"

I am looking forward to the part where my Guardian empire comes to the rescue of all and enslaves your viral but. So how good are you at buffing guardian shoes and house cleaning anyways Exule? Least you don`t have to worry about cooking |

99+ day(s) ago | With that Victor dropped his victim and held him fast to the floor with his foot to keep the creature from escaping. With his left hand, Victor took the glove off his right one to reveal something that was not of human appearance. The once flesh colored hand had become a dark green and had a scaly reptilian appearance in some areas. Bony, protruding spines had taken the place of the knuckles. Still more vicious spines ran down the center of his hand on the topside and continued up his arm under the sleeve. With a flick of his hand, one of the spines on his knuckle extended out to the length of his fingertips.
"You're about to experience the most agonizing moment of your life, creature, I hope you're ready for it."
Victor plunged the spine into the Marauder's shoulder. The alien's eyes widened to an unnatural size. Its body convulsed for a moment and then lay still for what seemed like an eternity but was really only a second. Then, a single, piercing scream wrenched the air and then all was silent. A minute passed before Victor spoke again.
"Now tell me, underling, are there any more Marauder battle groups in this sector?"
"Yes."
Victor`s no longer human facial features formed what could have been a smile.
"Good."
