it is probably a bad idea but I always liked the idea of having mercenaries. Maybe have some kind of credit transfer from another empire to them for making hits on certain empires. Lots of room for abuse and would probably mean lots of coding for Stephen so it`s a bad idea but I still like it and u wont change my mind :P |

Anyways in regards to the realities of bounties in GC, how would they be implimented?
Credits?
Easily got by strip mining or actually playing the game
Infra levels?
The old players would milk them for all they are worth and the gap between new player and old vet gets even larger than it already is
Land hand outs?
Nop we have had our share of them last year and that just screwed everything up.
Arties?
Nah everyone gets their knickers in a twist, especially the slower servers were arties can make or break empires
Minerals?
Thats why we have miners, have mineral hand outs would make the race next to useless cos the amount of minerals rewarded would have to be decent tpo even motivate most people that could actually pull off the bounties being offered (assuming high PR KZ/DM kills etc like the past)
Planet hand outs?
Seems to be a realistic approch and would possibly work, 5k barrens are handy but for established empires that are already `colonied up` they are just a temp boost were as the newer player they are a fantastic boon.
Wild card rewards?
These include otherwise unobtainable rewards like 1 land Spaz`s (also covered in the above option), infra level turn reduction (like the effect once all missions are finished, even for races without missions), boosts to loyalty over the 5k limit (ability for guard to gain loyalty outside of lucky captures and missions maybe?) and many others I cannot think of at present.
Could be something worth thinking about but DONT call them bounties, they are rewards, a bounty is what you put on someones head you hate, a reward is for finishing something and obtaining the offered prize, the reward for the action. |

If you do not like how people accuse you and other administrators about the game, you should ACTUALLY make the forum a bit better. This way you can go to that section if you decide too.
A good forum format example is www.furcadia.com/forums . The creators did a great job by sectioning off things. Suggestions, Offtopic, General, and so forth.
I don`t know WHY this game doesn`t have something like that dudes.

but sk8 would take this as a compliment and encouragemen t to contniue because hes a loser while tbk im sure has grown up and moved on ;) |

99+ day(s) ago | well, if you notice the winner`s list you`ll find that kalzul got on there one or two times on the RT server. That`s usually what he`s used for. Some time back everyone got like a 10% or 20% land increase for defeating the D Maru i think.
We need more events like that where either everyone gets some sort of (non btc/pcc) prize or something. |
