*As the ships of the collective overmind, known as Ragnarok, flew over the 3 large worlds of Ipswich. The overmind, Ragnarok, looked on through the optical circuits of his bodily extension of his being, through the optical circuits, upon the worlds about to be converted into usable resources to be added to the massive reserves that already existed.
However, the overmind Ragnarok, the sole sentient being in the entire empire and at the same time the sum of the collective sentience, could not help but think of the waste of it all. Why abandon this place and all its technological marvels and bountiful resources? Where did they all go? The only possibility that made any sense was that Ipswich moved on to even better things than this and abandoned this shrinking universe of GC.
The conversion process took over a week, longer than most plunders, but the Large homeworlds of Ipswich were finally ground down completely, leaving nothing in it`s wake. In their place was left a massive transmitter, on orders direct from the overmind Ragnarok itself. On all frequencies in all known languages within a 100 light year radius, this message was to be broadcast for all eternity until the universe of GC spontaneously disappears :
"Here once stood the great ancient Guardian planets of Ipswich, which was never conquered or subjugated. What happened to this people is unknown, but we can safely assume that they moved on to a better place than this universe of GC. Let all who hear this message follow their example and strive for a better life than the one we live here in GC"
With this legacy for this once great guardian empire left, the collective ships quietly slipped away. * |

99+ day(s) ago | This is just another in a long string of veteran GC players who have left the game. It`s sad for those of us left behind to watch our beloved game wither in front of our eyes. We strive on, amidst ever-dwindling targets, hoping that some day, something will happen to revitalize GC. Until then, we will continue to mourn those of us who leave the game.

Me thinks I was wrong about him leaving the game. Maybe all the guards decided to go on vacation at the same time, but the car broke down. When they got him, they all arrived to find a massive broadcaster beacon instead of their home-worlds and as a result had to start over from scratch. o.0 |
