  suggestions for viral rebalanc  

I suggest the following for virl rebalancing

-99% ag
-99% industry
+30% tax (more virals with higher base powers to reap reward of best income option)
-40% com

ship building prices are reduced back to normal levels

all upkeep on reversed ships 1 to .75 power to upkeep ratio

Making the number of turns to reverse a ship exactly the number of turns it would take the primary race to research it

reduce chiron range to 8

rather thn letting virals reverse 3 ships from 3 races they should be limited to 2 ship maximum from each class type and only 1 jugg per viral

thus

1-jug
2-dread
2-battle ship
2-cruiser
2-destroyer

will make virals stack harder and everyone`s stacks would be less predictable


These suggestions should bring a great deal of balance to the viral race

also once race is nerffed existing virals should be given an i tech profject and an option to reverse other ships or keep existing ones

Gilead go play terran with 150 turns and try to go from 200k power to 10 million power without spaming or using stc's =P
you don't have to spam when theres no one hiting you for days and you can build even stacks without a problem

how dare you, i spam only ryus and foders >.> <.< =P

50CENT: maybe there is a big difference between RT and the turn based servers.... I mainly play fast, and you dont _have_ to spam......

And DarckKnight: 3 ships? hmmmm Herc/Nirv or Nirv/Herc :P

everyone is a spammer now gilead there is no choice they way things are either you spam or you get your 4 hour fleet took out by virals 10 minute fleet its no DK`s faul its just a by product of a rich race having access to the types of ships we do

there was no spamming before virals come along terrans arent good at spamming except against virals cause other terrans can easily beat a spamming terran trust me i been around a while and before virals no one spammed and if they tried they died

how about Nirv spamming Terrans, T.Ryu-jin spamming terrans, Flysch spamming A.Miners.....

increasing upkeep for Virals will reduce the spamming behavior of virals.....

What is really the problem with Virals ?? When I played on RT. as Terran is was very easy to fight Virals. I did win more battles against Virals then I lost.
If people started to study the ships at there disposal, they should by time be able to figure out the ships to use against a given enemy fleet.

The Infra-research modifiers you want, gives only 1 good option for research Housing, so why even bother to give them other options ??
1 thing that I can agree on is the reverse time, should be like half of the original or so, due to the fact that they already have a full size model to take the idea from.

Sorry TheBlueKnight. But I think the A. miners are the only race that need a little rebalance to there ships. There ships do not fit what is stated about them.

Last but not least why don't we just play the game and have fun ???

and go for range ships rather than big hull ships

1- hercules
2- nirv, tyr
2- pyth, angel

Concerning Chiron:
a dammage to PR ratio of 1:10 is normal for starbases (for miners even less), not 1:2 as for the viral version.

The borrely is a destroyer, and thus like a lot of other destroyers range 9 is fine....

chiron range reduced to 8 fine, even 7 would be normal for starbases....

agree totally on the upkeep and build costs....

if the tax and comm modifiers are changed, there should be an option to change infrastructure levels as well.... (oh and give me back my population as now I killed them all :P)

sounds good enough, but i think the borrelly should be lowered in range as well as the chiron.
