in the time frame from wen u declared several distemper members were hit then wen none were left near BC members power rating the fed war miraculasly dissapeared.
makes you wonder were the `foul play` is actually coming from wen u get all the facts...

1) List federation memebers
2) Clear fed details screen and website
3) Change name
4) Set faction
5) Set leader
Anything else would involve a hard database edit, that stephen is the only one able to do, and it is only done via logging into the data centre. And as its so easy to make mistakes, It is done only when really needed to.
Password information isnt avaible to ANYONE.
The only people on staff who can access any information about your empire asides extremly basic stats (Avaibly from an normal players intel) are the full moderators, admins, and stephen.
None of the above can declare or undecalre without actually logging into your account, unless they sent your password to themselves. This hasnt been the case, and naturally, all changes and things doen from the admin panel are logged, and we all make a point of reviewing them extremly regularly.
As for foul play in your case, there has been none, and there has been no logins into your account form anyone elses locattion, nor any other than your own. Now, if you use auto complete etc, someone may have gained physical access to your machine, or it could be a bug (Though ive not heard of it before personally, Omegian below states it has effected him)
All in all, I normally wouldnt post this much information, or outside of a PM, But as the accusation of foul play was public, i thought it right the defence should have been as well.
