ok im just curious what you all think viral and collective planets look like?
for viral:
the image on the manage colony thingy shows them as purple worlds that look like gas planets to me personally.
what would you think they should look like? should they have clouds? oceans? if so what colours would u think would be appropriate for this? the purples and pinks depicted in the images that u see that are only several pixles across or different totally?
any ideas for viral pleants please let me know and if u by any chancew have a link that u think looks like a viral type planet post ehre
now for collective.
they are described to be much like the borg collective of star trek fame yet their planets have a rather grey complextion on the manage colony screen.
rather bland i think personally and wonder what any of you players would suggest they look like? i was thinking something like the borg with large industrial sections like in voyager wen species 8472 (i THINK) destroys one of their planets (any images of that scean i would LOVE!!!)
that part assde what would they look like? oceans? clouds? greenery or would it be a barren landscape? would they have `glowing` sections due to the cybernetic nature of the collective?
any ideas or potential images would also be great.
im asking this as im working on a personal project that i want to finish but am drawing blanks as to what these 2 races colonies would actually look like in detail. so im asking the GC community at large to throw suggestions ( please no silly ones just serious ideas, if i like em and they work out in what im doing you WILL be credited!)

I always imagined their planets being composed of one central city, where everything is manufactured, warships, new parts to replace broken ones (they are still half biological) everything.
The rest of the planet would be composed of farmland. As far as the eye can see, Huge farms tended by only a few collective as they would have alot of animated farm help. |

99+ day(s) ago | I would think the collective like the borg were perfectionists. So the collective should probly have large automated effiecient city scape factory like planets. I mean If it was a forest planet than it should be a city like planet with hints of forest still showing. Same with balanced or ocean or desert and all other planets.
And viral race lives to infect other races and grow and grow and grow. They should have toxic biohazard like planets with monstrous formations of biological growth and barren wastelands of Innfected plant growth and mutated animals and tainted soil and such. Planets kinda like Venus and the aspect of kinda seeing what kinda planet it used to be like. with hints of it still showing through. Those are my ideas. |
