UC allows a player to restart and keep his infra research. I dont like to mingle UC and GC, but this might be useful for people on GC.
It would allow us to try out a different race, and not lose months worth of time spent on researching infra. This could encourage people to try out new races and add a bit of variety to the race chart.
To keep people from abusing this , they would lose research levels granted to them by missions. Only the infra they researched would be carried over on a restart.
This could be a bad idea, but its worth a shot i think. Im expecting to be told to go back to UC, but ill bear the nasty remarks that i will see on this thread sooner or later.

99+ day(s) ago | UC is GC times about 15 in everything. Take away the element of one on one battle, in fact... just take away battle all together since the penalties for attacking and retals are rediculous... And then you have UC... |

Whilst it sounds good on paper, what is the point in everyone having max/near max infra?
No fun at all.
Keep it at UC.
What I would like to see is missions for all races and the infra level requirments (for example A. Miner one that needs 5 levels in industry) to be just be 5 levels of any one infra.

why?
because this game already lacks means of re-balancing. UWs are rare and don`t touch power bases and artifact stocks...
if anything, something should be done to make it easier for new players to compete with the elder gods from the deep |

bring back the special project, where you can re-arrange research
it was a special project, that allowed the player to change his research only once, but it was great for all those newbieies who screwed up by reseaching minerals when there a terran :p |
