Please sign, see my arguements in the post titled `GC ONLY - FED LEADER CHANGE `
Please do not let this minor concession deter the majority from demanding a return to the original democratic and more enjoyable voting system which allowed infiltration, internal federation politics and hostile take overs as well as the establishment of multifederation empires - a great part of the game. It also allowed non-paying empires to take over their own federations without getting a paid account - this required effort and hard work with rewarding results.
For those who were not here under the old system the following occured:
There was voting in each federation, and for every planet you had you had one vote. This way larger and hardworking empires had political influence in the federation. The leader had to be good and popular or be replaced. As well as this it was funner as you could infiltrate and destroy enemies creating an interesting slant to the game and allowing for federaitons to actually win wars - currently there is no way you can actually beat a federation.
This was taken away when there was an apparent abusal of a bug where some empires were managing to take over federations without the required amount of planets. Whether this was not an elaborate ploy by the administrators in unknown but what is apprent that instead of the bug being removed it was used as an excuse to remove voting all together. (motivated perhaps by the fact that non-paying persons could gain federations, as well as removing the ability of decent federations being able to beat opponents through political means)
Since that time excuses have kept coming forward and it is almost the official line now that take over of federations was cheating. This of course is not the case if you look at the mannual where take overs of federations are endorsed as an exciting part of the game.
I urge you to support myself and many others in our request for popular election abilities in federations. |

99+ day(s) ago | weirdly just sent this PM to a player talking about this, and i think its completely applicable here. Many know who did this and who the fruit and vegetables feds are that were involved, they also i`ll inform lost a great deal from doing this on their accounts and were punished appropriately.
If the older forum were up you`d all be able to see and read enough about this to fill a bottomless pit.

oh i agree completey, i want the fed vote back in, however i also don`t want to be the focus of who they yell at when the fed leadership is stolen from them, i`m sure you can understand that.
Fed voting was not removed due to anaboliking regardless of how many keep saying so.
It was abused because 3-4 players who stayed intheir own fed were able to vote for a player they sent out to other feds.
so for example

31 votes yes ?
problem was that peach had 801 votes and took leadership from carrot
so how do you think that happened without abusing the system ?
and that was why it was removed
For the record I miss the voting as do most of the guides and admin, and i`m sure that any with the old anabolikers list could attest to, just about every guide was on it at one stage or other, its not tha anaboliking that we disagree with , its the blatant refusal to believe that in a fed where possible votes where 180, that 800 votes was nothing unusual.
Now I know you all joke about Stephen math, as does Stephen himself.
but there is no way for 180 to = 800

99+ day(s) ago | you also claim there is zero point crying about it and then go on to request i contact stephen, hmmm..... the fact is that `crying` about things and pressurising often gets action, it was only through that that the current concessions on replacing inactive leaders were made. Therefore we will not be quiet, i have waited patiently for months for this `tempoary` removal to be returned and we have received nothing about it nor told of the admins/stephens intentions. Also i have contacted stephen on this before, i got no reply neither did the others that did this with me a while back, he also ignored us on the chat whilst answering questions of others. |

99+ day(s) ago | ive stated i recongnise the existance of this bug but like other bugs im sure it can be fixed if the enthusiasm was there to do so, it does not take half a year to fix this kind of error. Furthermore if this was the intention then we would firstly be informed of this and in addition stephen and others would not be stating that they intend to bring in a UC style system.
We do not want a UC style system and we do not wish to wait for the update if that is ever going to come - if we do however have the wait we want reassurance that the old system will return.
Quite simply i state again, the bug should be fixed and the voting system returned, i recongize the bug exists but what is in question is whether the enthuaism or desire is there atall to have a return to federation voting - again this is perhaps due to the fact non-paying members are able to get federations. |

as pandy has said we miss it as much as you , but untill its fixed their is Zero point in crying about it , and trust me you have gone far over the point of just asking them to hurry up and fix it , why not just send stephen an email ( his contact details are on the Here ) and ask him ( the correct person ) to do just that :)

99+ day(s) ago | i must also add in my messages rallying support for this to key leaders i have had replies saying that they although supporting this are not going to bother signing because they are leaving the game as it has gone downhill and GC is not attened. I wont mention names however. Just some more thought, i suggest the administration return this voting system to the people. |

Shadowlands: I`m not sure what you`re on about. There are lots of people to attack. And you get planets by winning them just like everyone else. Basically the strategy is, every 24 hours people come out of DP, then you try to nick their stuff. Outrageous, i know.
And I`m not being a turncoat or spying. I just needed a change of scene. Being static like some people doesn`t cut it for me. You`ll never get anywhere if you`re afraid to take risks. |

anyway chera: how am I personally supposed to get a higher planet count if there is no one to attack? (aside from exploring) I can`t make planets appear out of thin air and i can`t make anyone get planets from people. anyway if you had been here longer cherad you would have seen BOS around 300-500 planets and wobbling around now we are solidly at about 600. anyway I`ll talk to you more whn you are done spying on PG for WD unless you have just become a turncoat but i guess that is just as bad. |
