how long has it been since the update and stuff? and who of the staff is still working on resetting viral shiplists?

the Livid/Lictor were overhauled so that Miners could have some great ships for once, not so that virals could have another "superboat" to smack people with. It`s been months since the last mention of anything regarding the viral shiplists problem, have the staff forgotten about it or simply chosen not to do it, as they seem to be doing other things just fine? |

99+ day(s) ago | I definitely agree, Guards can go head-to-head against Virals if you know what you`re doing. Probably the real differentiator is how much time is invested grooming a Guardian empire vs a Viral empire - the latter is a somewhat quicker out of the gate. |

99+ day(s) ago | Fedaykin, you`re a guard. Of course I spam you. honestly, most the guards I hit have guard ships. Unless I think/know a guard tends to use queen, swords, or w/e, I sure as hell won`t be using small ships. Also, when catching up to guards in pr, I think you`ll find thors don`t work too well.
Honestly, if you wanted to not be spammed by big ships most of the time you sure picked the wrong race for it. As for me being so uber-awesome and unbeatable with my viral-ness... you clearly just aren`t fighting the right way, I have nothing else to really say about it. I mean seriously, I know people who have no trouble as non-viral races as far as killing virals goes.
As for your statements BananaMan, I totally agree. Collective are definitely problematic for the moment with their ships. At least viral is beatable, I can`t even win much against collective when they brig/MOW spam.
{Veil}, if you use neutral and race ships it shouldn`t be so much of a problem to beat viral, they aren`t invincible. I do agree that miners are very strong though. They have no incentive to stack anymore when they can spam big ships and actually have it work now. They aren`t as overpowered as collective though in my opinion, as miner are actually beatable. Strafez and borr will kill lyth and lictor on aggressive, however defending is hard unless you have angels/pyth available to you. Without those maru ships I find it a bit harder to defend against careful miner spams. |

on many occassions i have been spammed by you, and yes while it may be easier to combat capital ship spams at high prs on rt, on slower speeds, it can be very difficult when ur fighting someone at much higher prs with the first 6 stacks capital ships, as u dont have the turns to build the necessary counter ships
so u can say that viral is easy to beat all you want, but in truth they are not that easy
they can have highly unpredictable stax if they are skilled and can be very surprising to fight in combat, and tacked on with their ability to build utlra high with little to no upkeep and spam many capital ships, if they have any skilll at all, viral are difficult to beat, unless you are viral i guess, in which they would be easier
i myself refuse to play viral as i believe they are too easy of a race, and a prefer winning based on skill rather possessing the best ships of 3 races |

99+ day(s) ago | I agree. Virals aren`t really that tough. The only REALLY tough part is that they can spam maru ships, and spam anything really quickly for few turns. Beating them is fairly standard... after all, they all usually have fairly standard ships. |

Really, I have no problems with virals most the time, they aren`t as bad as you make them out to be, and before you point out the fact that "zomg, you`re a viral, you`re one to talk," I`m sure my friend Boyer can support my statement. He has fought as like every race and he doesn`t have much trouble with virals either.
I can see why you might say that fighting them at higher pr is harder, at least in some ways. If think about it though, the bigger the ship, usually the easier to kill.
P.S. I couldn`t understand some of your post Hiigarans. I`m not purposely trying to bash your typing, grammar, or anything... but could you please type a bit more clearly? Sorry... =/

IMO, stacking is a tatic, a statergy or whatever u want to call to. in basic, it was mention on using and / or mixing different ships in a fleet to form different attack formation like aggreisve n careful. in the advance, using different ship chassic to enchanced the stack which might make u almost unbeatable.
that`s the ship chassic was here to make ships have the difference. ship with high range, high dmg for offensive like destoyer; ship with lower range but higher hull for defensive, like starbase. each race has its own ship on different chassic, that`s it take some time to learn how to stack n use the ships.
look on the Viral, without the ship chassic limited, most of them just RE lot of capital ships, then spam all the way to hell. yes, they do furfill part of the stacking: using different ships (even worst that sometime they just spam 1 ship), due to capital ships, most of time Viral just attack with careful. skill invovled? not much. time to learn? alot less than other race. the race was set to hard, yes, hard to be killed LOL
by the way, i cant stack too. hey? can someone teach me how to stack over there? |

I`m still not understanding how silly you can be. :P The viral advantage is not specifically that they can choose the "best" ships in the game, but that they can have a huge number of heavy ships and are capable of stacking at a level that anybody else would be forced to spam at. The REAL problem is the upkeep on angels and pyths, really. Take those two things away... and virals are just as easy to deal with as collectives. Some guess work, sure, but when you know what you`re facing, does it really matter? |

just because some players have problems with learning how to fight, it doesn`t mean we all do. really, less whining, more killing. if you spent half the time you spend whining to learn how to fight the ships you have problems with, you might actually win.
The only real problem I see right now is collective ship imbalancement and the whole fact that VMers can inflate their fed`s ranking with their abuse of VM while they have high planet count. We should be focusing on actual problems, not the demands of players who have short-comings in skill or are just too lazy to make a good fleet and want things easy. Really, if you can`t deal with virals, it`s rather sad. In which case I can recommend UC to you :)
You in particular favor using lots of big ships, chess. At least from all my encounters with you. So whose fault is it that you can`t win when you`re so predictable?
