I have been playing this game for over a year now and some know me here by various names and some dont, I gave up a awhile back on helping others here on the forum but for all the vets in all the feds, to all the players that do know their arss from their elbow lets try to keep to the subject at hand especialy with new ones or young ones who need help try not changing the subject according to other peoples comments, its not about you unless its your thread.
How can this game grow and be ready for updates if the players themselves cant do so first. The forum is a cool place to vent frustration, post battles, and ask for help not to belittle others who`s coments are out of place, or say rude things about people that have nothing to do with the subject at hand.
Dont forget you were all new to this game once before as well and got pawned all the time untill someone showed you the ropes, im not gettin mushy or anything its just that no one realises unless the people change
here on real time and cowboy up no amount of free gordos or paids will get people to stay. I would like to see all the vets comment on this |

99+ day(s) ago | So first part of adopt a newbie week is to send at least 5 PM`s to empires under 3 months old asking them if they need help. Everytime u get a reply and a question u get one cookie. Any questions u can`t answer we all point and laugh while calling u a newb and throwing stuff at u lol. You also have to wear a newb hat and sit in the corner (I`m joking please dont hate me :P) |

everyones a newbieie at some time, and its only by training and experience that anyone becomes good...
I offer my help to alot of UTU players, and use to send pm`s to all my targets suggesting how to improve there fleet...
But yeh, the lesson is train newbies to be vets, then you got more active players, i use to hunt players that i tought how important it is to have big clusters and tought them what ships to use Vs ships, and stacking startergies, and to account range, pr, race, moddifers, weopons, hull and to account for all things, which makes a perfect player ;) |

99+ day(s) ago | Bravo! A suggestion to all- if you see a newbie online, send them a pm welcoming them to the game and offering to help them out. I know when i started, I got lots of invites to be in a fed, but that was about it. Spending a small amount of time helping new guys find out how to look for a few decent colonies and how to make some money to get started really goes a long way.
P.S. Does 8 months count as a newbie? Even if I played for a few months more back in `05? |
