  Multi-turn population growth

The population on my colony was 2795, then I spent a turn exploring, so it increases to 2857, a 2.2% increase. I spend two more turns exploring, one turn at a time, my population continues to grow at 2.2% per turn, going to 2920 and then 2985. Now I plan on doing 9 turns of research and I would expect the population to continue to grow at 2.2% per turn, which would result in a new population of 2985x(1.022^9) = 3631, but instead I get 3579. Its a minor issue, But it almost makes me want to do my reasearch one turn at a time :) Maybe I will when I`m dealing with populations in the tens of thousands.

You`ll also notice that when you build ships in clusters of turns the income is based one the number of turn you took times your net income AFTER the ships have been built. so it`s actually more economically sound to build your ships in one turn increments.
