yar well i kinda feel like holding a few special events and eternus is in the mood too however the main reason we avoid these is the attitude of you lot ( the players ) so well , rather than just do them your gona vote
simple as that , just post the number + yes/no/reason for each gamespeed and event
if its yes it will be held and anyone who whine/flame will not be welcome to the gamespeed(s) in question while they are held.
if no then as simple as that , they wont be held on that gamespeed
now as i decided long before i became admin and seen the attitude of the players towards pandy who went out her way 24/7 to hold Dm`s for you all , i will never ever hold / help set up a DM
so the events will simply be kalzul/lucas type npc`s doing various things.
now ill try my best to list what each npc will be doing ect.
1.Kalzul - max PR Ultimate Weapon ( max Pr for RT and Ultra then fair decrease for other turnbased )
(Rt will have a lucas style guard that will have PR restrictions)
2.Asmodai - Custom PR / stack Ultimate Weapon ( max Pr for RT and Ultra then fair decrease for other turnbased )
3.Lucas(s) - Custom PR Stack`s / dp outings with custom rewards for winning
the rewards for taking part in these events will be based on merrit and will be offered to you after the events have ended.

99+ day(s) ago | I completely agree with smiley. Each server is a completely different game. You definitely cannot treat ultra and RT the same... proof is the fact that my miner on ultra strips the market bare of food, while a miner consuming double the food on RT barely dents it. |

99+ day(s) ago | Well, if the activator looses all his/hers planets - and all ship research - all artifacts - all minerals etc. - then I still think the activator could be allowed to keep all the infra research if able to make a blow. Some special and really hard races open only for those making an UW is another option. All I say is that we need some kind of motivation to do UWs. If you have used 2-3-4 years on getting an empire with 150+ commersial and really large planets its kind of boring loosing it all to do a blow that is not huring much people. Some of us have made 2-3 blows already and then its kind of hard to motivate yourself to do another UW without some kind of motivation. To get your name on the winners list isnt really worth much when you already got a few nicks there.
I think this game should be about fighting, not as it is today where fighting is a minor part of the game.
I think KalZuls/Asmodais/Lucas could be used if none activates an UW. It could be a timer that goes down, so if none activates the UW on Ultra for 6 months it will be a UW from kalzul/Asmodai. I think it should be easier to make UWs - and more motivations for people to try UWs. Uws should be a major part of the game - and if we get a blow every 2-3 months it will do only good for the game. Then your research/planets decides how fast you regenerates - and the best players would be highest at the ranking. |

99+ day(s) ago | I agree with Gron: make sure the rewards don`t make the powerfull even more powerfull.... how to do this is a different matter... but should be doable.... (dont offer PCCs please, they make it even harder to get some clusters moving around... )....

99+ day(s) ago | I say yes to all, I don`t think any warning should be given as to when any event takes place, In the real world nobody gets a warning. Noone should be able to prepare for an event, if someone is setting themselves up for a UW and an event takes place TO BAD they should have done it earlier, this is all part of the game and will make the gme more interesting. I would say a major event per month would be ok and maybe 1-2 minor events per month to keep it all interesting. |

99+ day(s) ago | Yes, anfit, but the difference is I`m making it public that an attempt is in the making. It isn`t necessarily WHY I`m building up so high... with my income I could do almost anything I want, as has been mentioned earlier.
Regardless... explore UWs aren`t really legitimate. They are a UW attempt, and they do take planning... however, I wouldn`t mind too much if the possibility of doing them was removed from the game. Power UWs... that`s the real stuff. That takes a LOT of preparation... take my 500 day old ultra account, created for the sole purpose of blowing up ultra. |

99+ day(s) ago | Thank you, maruadian. The reason many are saying no to a UW on ultra is because they are actively involved in planning my retirement UW. My second attempt on ultra... this time, it really will be my last, lol.
I like the idea of having events like this that you let us know about beforehand... things take time to prepare for on GC, particularily non RT servers. If you were to say, give a server like slow two - three weeks warning that there was going to be an imminent UW threat from the kalzul, and make some cool story about how they were using some quantum technology to travel to the slow galaxy from some distant place intent on destroying us all... that would be awesome. Just springing it randomly on us like before surprises us and may upset plans that we had. But if you give us warning, time to unite as a server and prepare for the event (and time for those who support the event to try and undermine the effort)... that is a real event. Then, the event is now three weeks plus 48 hours, not just 48 hours of panic and chaos. Much more effect for roughly the same amount of work.
Of course, some people wouldn`t appreciate the story, but some would, especially players that are newer to the game. That is one of the things that makes new players more attracted to UC than GC, it has more creative content. If you agree to the story but don`t have time, I`m more than willing to contribute the creation of this content. I`m confident in saying that there are other players out there who would agree with me and would help with this.
Anyway, for the UWs the important thing is to not interfere with attempts by non NPCs, because that is the ultimate goal of this game for players. But for a server that is stagnated, especially one like ultra that hasn`t seen a successful UW for what, two years? If I weren`t planning to blow the server up myself, I would wholeheartedly support you doing them. In fact, you should do one sometime soon after mine, whether I succeed or fail. |
