I`m new. To me, it seems like there are three (good) ways of earning money: commerce tax, population tax, and mining. I don`t think I`d like mining, so my question is: What is better, pop or com? I want to set the path of my gameplay before I go out of newbie DP. |

99+ day(s) ago | Salyn: What I do is basically always have 3 fodders and no fleet when I don`t care to waste resources to make a fleet to defend. I get attacked, loose 3 fodder colonies, get 24 hours of dp, life goes on. Sometimes, my master sends reinforcements so this process takes a little while longer. :P
Suggestion: get enslaved to Requiem. ;-) |

99+ day(s) ago | I think we should create a fed just made of A Miners and have some form of NAP with larger feds. That way miners can keep their planets and keep churning out CGs. I have a problem keeping planets coz I keep losing. Or maybe I`m just bad at fighting. |

99+ day(s) ago | The demand on RT right now is for minerals, of which there are often shortages and a mad rush to get them when they are available, and of Consumer goods, which are sometimes in a worse boat than the minerals. That said, complete a few missions (up to act 5) and go A. Miner to help out. :P |

99+ day(s) ago | if you are new i would go commercial since it jsuti s the easyst or even self suportive terran which means you make your own food aswell... this way you dunt have to learn to deal whit the market besides also having to learn how to fight ,deal whit annoying players,burst the ego bouble of "vets" and mroe like that i say go commecial terran and keep u larges >8k and normal planets >700(saying only 700 is going to get me shot*points to random bystander* he sed it)

99+ day(s) ago | ag is more fun...you can make friends with all the other rich arse ag terans and then go on strike for a little while...then post the food back up for ridiculous prices.
but yeah, agriculture is probably the best, and most stable way to go :) |

Tax isn`t a very good option for Terrans... actually the best 2 paths are Agriculture and Commerce. Terrans have a nice food production bonus, and as long as food is selling on the market for at least 4, this is the most profitable way to go. You just fill up your planets with Agriculture and then put the food you make on the market and wait for people to buy it. The easiest way to go is Commerce - you just fill your planets up with Commercial and you will generate income each turn. If you are a little more patient though I would certainly advise going the Ag route.
