In about 12 hours from now i`ll start updating the ships in line with the guidelines there, i`m hoping this being the last major one for a while.

Collective and Miner will probably get small tweaks too.

I have no plans, to do anything major to the starbases, they`re good but they`re not unbeatable, (apart from the Miner Power UW when we`ll see what happens) you can hit them and win without spamming and just because they`re long range doesn`t mean anything.

Collective we`ll see about what exactly happens to them as i`m not sure yet

Well, guards are week against missle, thats the rule, if you dont want that, dont play guard.

i think i would really rather see the K.HunXe changed then see the research time reduced... make it something all together different from the other guardian ships...diff. weaknesses and what not, because the missile and chemical weaknesses are really rather annoying. another thing, atleast make its hull a 1:1 ratio with the pr...the pr on the thing is ridiculous, also probably the biggest issue with it...a possible idea is to make it half missile and half energy instead of the part kinetic and part missile weapons :


all i`m saying it make it worth the turns spent researching it, 25k is alot for such a weak ship...


and also, species, the only strafez i us eon a regular basis in my stacks is the queen. i have a better stacking intelligence then you migh tbelieve, an ddon`t look at my losses an dwins and say i don`t...those came from actually defending and fighting most every UW thats been attempted since i started this game, one tend to get a nice collective on losses during UW`s.

As a guard, I`d take the lictor as it is any day over the hunxe. I`ll throw in the fluorite topaz and amethyst too

BadSicilian, every guard can use strafez, end of story.

Archaeoptyrex, you on one side complained, that "lictors have (had) too much hull", on the other side, you propose an effective upgrate for the Hun.Xe.

Wouldn`t everybody be happy, if we give the "overpowered" lictor to guards, and therefore miner get the bad Hun.Xe with its "bleeding weakness"? Miners would be happy....

OH MY lol this guard changes are insane O.o some ships are very hard to kill, this mostly end up screwing collectives and aminers and their own race has well, anything that hasn't got 0.9 atack/PR meaning everything else besides rubys ,tourms, thors ,odins, large runners, pinnaces , brigs, D.hammerhead ,D.angel (i excluded energy only ships they don't hurt G class) isn't gonna hurt that much the new G class in AGRESSIVE now think what happens in carefulll and normal. THINK

Agates need -30 in ion modifier
Amethyst are somewhat ok but -30 in kinetic wouldn't hurt
G.Quartz OMG does any of you even looked at that hull and mods? it needs -30 in kinetic at least, -40 ion wouldn't hurt either

G.fluorite O.o that thing has a bigger hull than quartz not gonna get in details generally owns, theres a reason this ship had -60% in ion

well i know you guardian players out there will try to make it look like its nothing and they still suck and blah blah

We`re not ignoring the matter, rather than increase the ships mods we`re looking at decreasing research time (insert abuse about "i`ve already researched it" here)

If you can make a suggestion about whats wanted feel free

I very much agree that XE needs changing! At very least reduce research requirements for it... i can`t explain how dissapointing it is to spend so much time getting a ship that is nearly useless, especially on slower servers.

The only reason I`m constantly pointing out the HunXe is because it`s pertinent and being entirely ignored by the staff. This thread is about the updates to marauders and guardians, and the hunxe is a very important ship that NEEDS to be changed for guardians.

all guard really needs is one or two ships out of the usual, one or two ships that DON`T have the same bleeding weakness as everything else, that above all else would make stacking more fun. since lets face it, if a viral wants to take us out, it is all too easy to do so.

PR formula
temppower = hull/4 + weapon + range*5 + scanner*5
if class is 1 : power = temppower * 0.50
if class is 2 : power = temppower * 0.60
if class is 3 : power = temppower * 0.70
if class is 4 : power = temppower * 0.80
if class is 5 : power = temppower * 0.90
if class is 6 : power = temppower * 0.90
if class is 7 : power = temppower * 1.00
if class is 8 : power = temppower * 1.10
if class is 21 : power = temppower * 0.01

class 1 are fighters, class 2 corvettes etc.. class 21 are scouts.


So I`m afraid G.Agate without scanner will have 5630 PR

lmao, i dont see some of u when the G, L n D class thread were discussing. so, when the update is going to implement, some of u just pop out n say NO to this n that.

i wonder where r u guys while we discussing the G, L n D class thread?
