Wow... what a day... These last 8 hours, sitting here in a shirt and tie, sweating profusely... dodging co-workers and my boss... scanning the high PR ranges with my trigger finger on tons of artifact windows... answering hundreds of PMs/IMs...
But in the end it was all worth every moment.
Very happy to set off the UW - but I must acknowledge that my success had more to do with the pen than the sword. Because I couldn`t babysit most of the 48 hours, this was definitely something that many of you on the server "allowed" me to have. My diplomacy and friendships from my past "active" life definitely paid off. And for that I need to thank so many that I can`t name them all here.
I`d like to think there was a time in the past where I was able to show my skill I worked so hard to master - but this UW attempt was definitely a gift from my friends, allies and certainly from a number of old foes/enemies that surely "threw me a bone."
Would like to single out "Think" for an amazing stack that hit me while I was sleeping last night... took just short of 100k PR off my stack in a single well crafted hit. And I won`t forget the finish - a crazy flurry of artifact warfare as I was being pounded by some of UberPansy`s stacks.
So as mentioned in my other post... I will never be "active" in this game again... My good ol` days of the "Aegean Star Combine", the "United Federation of Planets", and "Crab United" are long behind me. But I wish all of you many many good years ahead, both in the game - and on the "outside".
It`s time for me to leave my pen and sword on the table, to go outside.
