Just wondering what is the record for having the most planets as marauder. Now i`m not boasting or anything (well maybe a little ahahaha) but i`ve managed to get 169 on Slow.

I`m sure some got 200+ ( i think freakn maybe) and some collectives have done some impressive stuff either
Out of the 5 c2`s in the c3, 2 were captured as c2`s the rest were single planets or c1`s. It was tough too since i also captured a 10k and a 6k u.large in the process. I didnt wanna plunder it without fully populating it (which took about 2 weeks :S) so the colony limit made it very difficult. And when i did manage to get 5 c2`s i realized i hadnt researched c3 yet :( 200+ turns on slow is like a week`s worth of turns

99+ day(s) ago | my max would have been around 280-285 planets, outer 3 colonies were 2 very large C3`s and a very large C2 gained from a very strong Dog who accidentally built out of DP before the "You have been attacked" red warning comes up on ship building attempts. (That warning got added BECAUSE of this particular battle).
Those 3 colonies were plundered in less than 45 seconds.
There is no point for a maru to hoard planets. Once a colony has maxed population, you should plunder, because the population will produce significantly less tax than the cost of food and goods consumed. Though I can see more of a point on slower servers, that being it takes more actual time for a population to be built up due to the turn regeneration being slower, and thus a maru will have to hold on to colonies longer.

99+ day(s) ago | well both me and cascones have had about the same, me just before my uw on slow where i got some heroe`s c3 and c2 cant remember his name, he stopped playing afterwards, also had a c3 plunder on normal and rt as maru. And Cascones when he during his uw caught a c3 from ultra. |
