99+ day(s) ago | Killer, F-U a$$wipe!...This is place for suggestions is it not? If you don`t like, that is fine, but whining? Not even close..suggesting. True, we get counter attack. But a SUGGESTION was to have a POSSIBILITY of getting something for successfully defending your space.
A high percentage of attacks are done to get planets. I would think it may be nice to have a chance to take something when attacked and you protected your planets. Something small, not enough to unbalance the game. You even said "maybe slaves or pow`s if it were real".
So by your own definition aren`t you "whining" because you made a suggestion very similar to mine. To quote an a$$ > "so quit ur fukin whining" .

For all races that don`t get a chance to "assimilate" or "capture" ships in battle.
Possibly we get 1 of their planets (the first of their border planets) or a certain percentage (small of course) of their surviving fleet. Just a thought.
