I`m looking for peoples` opinions on enslaving.
Here are some facts:
You get to come from a 150% advantage when you enslave. Some would say this is counter-balanced by the need to take out 60% of the other persons fleet...
You cannot attack your master.
Freedom means climbing to 10x your masters power. If you are enslaved by a high planet count master this can be nigh impossible - or else so expensive as to be ridiculous. Particularily on the slower servers.
Personally I haven`t bothered with it - I find it to be an overly potent weapon that does little but inflict continual harm on the enslavee and builds the enslaver`s ego. However, I am seeing that others do not share my view so I would have no choice but to enslave such empires.

like what Pansy said, it will be fustrated when u going to declare independence when there r some freaks build a high pr n stay in v-mode. RT is even harder to declare. it was the old day, i was building the pr n almost get over the 10x. but that enslaver just build another 1mil pr once i get nearer. omg, i have to build another 10mil pr again.

Try this:
Be a huge empire on the normal server... say 500 planets. Next lose a battle and get enslaved by someone with 600 planets (base power of 600k). Now realizing that the only people that would hit the big empire are the ones who are his slaves he just sits there - no one touches him and even if they do - say they knock him down to 2 million - now I have to build to 20 million power to get free. That may be nothign on the RT server but idc - that`s not what I`m talking about.
Think and I have played nothing but GC for 2 years now and I would appreciate if you would back off and only talk once you even know who we are. |

Im fed up of hearing moaning players, who want GC`s Features removed or changed...
I like GC the way it is! and i`ve been playing since GC first started, was abit gutted about the marker withdraw and fed elelections being removed...
But FFS, i don`t want more featurtes removed. It`s the same for everyone, and if you get enslaved, you just have to work together to get free, simple!!!
I`ve never head such BS in my life, 7even day enslavment...
there will be no slavers, and one less feature cos some UC newbie tryies to play GC and sucks at it...

99+ day(s) ago | I don`t really think there`s any need to make a judgement on GalacticKillers life based on how he plays a game lol. Personally I will play a game by the rules, but break every law I don`t agree with in Real Life, and live by the laws that I see right. How you play a game by no means reflects how you live your life. If you want to enslave sum1 what is the big deal - agreed it is a little too hard to get free at high PR, but it`s also a nice relief when 4 large empires that usually hunt you cant attack you anymore - especially when they are attempting a UW. |

99+ day(s) ago | There are some "features" of this game that, when used, make it less fun for me to play. Thankfully, many of those features are used infrequently. Possible reasons are that others feel the same way, or they are being respectful of those that do, or they don`t see an advantage for themselves in using them, or they don`t know about them. Now, regarding enslavement, I`d be in favor of a change that made it less difficult to get free from empires with a large base power. Perhaps a simple time limit, like 1 week. After that it would be voluntary. So the enslaver would get 1 week of tribute and not have to face a counter. After that, if the two empires like the relationship, they can continue with that relationship. For example, reenforcements from a more powerful master can be a good thing. |

I imagine you would apply this same flawed logic to real life which is: rules are your conscience. You don`t think for yourself, you don`t think about the feelings of others, you just go as far as you can without getting into trouble.
If you are like that in RL you would be nothing short of a menace to society.

There is nothing wrong with punishing a player again and again and again, even without cause. IT`s a feature, that is allowed! If you play this game, (GC) expecting not to have people randomly attacking you or hunting you. Get over it!
Theres nothing wrong with The Chosen FEW! and Common Wealth, both trying to hunt me. You could chuck historia`s at me, could probe me, hitting me again and again. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT...
The only thing stopping you, is the fact that every action has a reaction. This is a war game, you are allowed to be nasty to people by hunting them, thats the idea. MAke annother player leave GC by killing them...
(not much fun when you kill all the vets tho, i realised that cos its getting really borring now) |

99+ day(s) ago | Enslaving is part of GC, those people who have a problem with being enslaved should go play UC. UC is 4 newbs!!!!!!!!! So if you got a problem with being enslaved leave GC. Its one of the features, therfore it`s to be used. So get over it. If you got a problem with being enslaved, then learn to stack defence.
Probing is also part of the game, if you complain, you derserve to f**k off and go play UC!!! I don`t probe but if i did, then just get over it. It`s part of the game!!!
(if probing was against the rules) there would be a app that stops you attacking with that amazing 1 fodder :D lol, but there isent so get over it... |

99+ day(s) ago | Pfft what eves man, almost every terran and miner that plays the game alot has more credits and minerals that what they will ever use. Well thats the way it was for me and i fight a quite a bit. I had a load of minerals and 200 bill when i restarted as a guard and that was after a recent uw. |

a few flaws in ur argument here too. high planet holders usually cant be bothered to get extra income from enslaving. they have enough. they would probably be more concerned abt getting borders than wasting it on enslavement attack. if they are really that good and ur that lousy then juz accept that u lost and get out. having played gc for so long i haven seen someone unintentionally slaved by a high pr player and not get out soon enough. |
