My concept was a project that let collectives store ships until they were needed for a fee.
Another thought I recently had is a kind of `RE token` similar to the old ship map artifacts. When a collective captures a ship, they have the option of turning that ship into an artifact that can be used later to build that ship if it is needed. |

Travvivian 99+ day(s) ago | I`ve always liked the idea of "Storing" Captured ships. But only if the Upkeep were set lower during this time, since you wouldn`t be actually using the ship. You know, essentially the same way it is in the world`s Navies today. It costs much less to maintain a ship sitting at Dock, than one fully crewed, armed and sailing. |

imo collectives are fine as they are thou, i played em for 400 days at fast, and mostly fought battles between 1 and 3 mill pr, not all that low for fast server...collectives are of course worse on faster servers, but the same goes for maru`s...On slow collectives and marauders holds aprox about half the power on the server, of course not counting by planets, but by capability to fight.
In the 7 MK uw attempts collectives have been the biggest hitters although most active empires are terran.
on a server like rt collectives of course get shafted big time as people have turn to just keep spamming you if they fail the first time, where on slower servers a battle mean alot more...if you lose your fleet, you aint getting a new one that day less you`ve saved up turns for days heh |
