Well Chronic Monkeys wins the DM. Why? Do to incredible skills? Superior fighting? Brilliant teamwork?
No. DP + Exploring.
The 4 member Underdogs team blew everyone else out of the water to easily maintain power control throughout the deathmatch, only to "lose" to a bunch of cowards. Guys, you want to have an exploration Deathmatch head on over to UC. If you wanna play with the big boys on GC you gotta fight. That means build ships that do damage. Viators don`t do damage.
As to the scheduling issue:

Now, I understand that this post was made after a stressful and frusterating situation. However, I hope in retrospect you will think more clearly and maturely Pandy. We all appreciate your efforts in taking care of these DMs but we are customers of this game... we gotta expect something in return. The something would be a reasonable time table for all, as I believe we have experienced up to this point. If you don`t want to do DMs anymore that`s just fine - all I ask is that you finish what you have started. Remember that we have all put in 4 hours each weekend again, and again, and again. That`s an incredible time commitment for us too. |

My first statement was not intended to say that CM had no skill, or never fought, or had no teamwork. It simply means that none of these things were so superior as to give them the win. Exploring doesn`t constitute brilliant teamwork. If you need a team of advisors to help you to explore well... hmmmm...

If you weren`t there I don`t think it`s wise to comment. Once someone has dp they can explore to their heart`s content. The loss of their scouts once they emerge is a meaningless defeat for them. As for the allegation that we could have explored we all had as many planets as they did but we were short a man. If we`d had a 5th we`d have won... however I understand as to this last point that that`s just the way it goes. It`s good CM could get a team of 5 to stay the whole time. |

the reason everyone is complaining is because, they are paying (a small amount tho), but they are paying money and spending time playing this game,
as they are paying they expect some things to be better quallity,
thats why,
i do think stephan should work on some GC updates, bring back elections and withdraw feature...
it`s only coz UC gets more attenition that everyone moans...
and to Uber if Chronic Monkeys won, thats good teamwork,
they came up with a strategy, (explore at the end of the DM),
and they worked as a team to do that,
if they can win by exploring, thats there strategy,
but you can always hit there scouts, or do the same as them,
so yea................................ |

The only reason I attacked her was because she attacked me. While I still blame this all entirely on stephen for being a moron with his own game, I was upset with her for threatening to cancel all of the DMs, both past and future, if I (among others) petitioned to have this DM cancelled due to the screwing in the time screwing a good number of members from being able to play. As a paying player, I have EVERY right to complain when something I planned for weeks in advance is changed, causing friends of mine who just managed to schedule it in to be unable to play due to last minute problems.
I am NOT - pay attention here, I will say it again - I am NOT blaming Pandy for the problems of the DMs. That still rests solely on Stephen`s shoulders.
What good has come from this: THANK YOU, Pandy, for giving us notice in the rescheduling. Giving us that extra week before the new times are to occur is precisely what should be done for reschedules - it gives those of us who work enough time to have a chance at scheduling in the matches. It also gives us time to have lives on the weekends in between, just like you, ahahaha.
I know that I`m not able to do much to help out, but if you need any help, I will offer what I can - despite our argument yesterday. I wish you the best. I also thank you for all your efforts on behalf of GC DMs. Maybe I should apply for a guide position and let you get back at me by actually accepting. ;) |

As far as teamwork goes yes we did have superior teamwork we were all on msn all supporting each other so keep quiet on things you have no knowledge on .

Pandy i think u do an awesome job with the DM`s and any complaints i have had about them are definatley NOT directed at YOU .
I think you have been left twisting in the wind by the higher ups and it isnt fair , it also goes to show and reinforce the notion that GC overall is less important and less supported by the owners of this game . I want to thank you for the time and effort you have put in to the DM`s .
Stephen come on man PLEASE pay attention GC is a brilliant game with alittle love it will thrive and bloom . |

99+ day(s) ago | if anyone doesn`t like the dates for the last two deathmatches then simply find someone else to run them, you want a admin online to ensure they dont` screw up, as this one did initially, then you have to be prepared to fit into a schedule that isn`t insane for them
or else you simply email stephen and ask him to do the next two, i`m sure he will listen to you, he listens to everyone all the time.
and one more time uber just so you actually get it, 4 hours really ? so you only sit out on one DM wow nice sounds wonderful.
id have thought you`d play both, so that`s 8 hours, and lets see you dont` add up the total at the end ? and collect who is in what fed ?
well another 1-2 hours after each match there
so we`re at 10 hours now, plus there are still those questins email validations bugs and errors and general queries .. only another 4-6 hours there sounds about right.
so you dont` spend 14-16 hours online during a deathmatch day why not ? I figured you all must do, i do.
up till this point all have been in for me hours during the 12-5am mark for the first ones in the am so surely i`m being selfish by settingthe next two looming weekends with a fortnight apart(14 days) and also giving you all 14 days notice to enable you to get your teams together on those dates. (which is why i added a extra DM for the final round)
an so sorry that i wont` do one on the weekend of the 11th I intend to be interstate then getting myself as drunk as i can possibly get and still live while at a wedding
personally i`ll never host another DM, and i`ll never ask Stephen for the coupons for another, i`ll never nag him to put up another either after this if he wants to disable the GC DM server he`s welcome to as far as i`m concerned i wont` lift a finger to stop him.
