Kusari 2006-10-14 |  | Crazy rebalance idea |  | This is an insane idea and most of you will more than likely dissagree with me, but I want to hear your opinions just the same.
A number of economic issues in the game could be solved by changing the economic focus of some of the races. Here are my thoughts:
Idea A
1. Remove the modifier that causes Guardians to consume no food (I know they are energy beings, but let`s be creative for a bit here). Then increase their tax income mod to compensate, assuming an average food price of $20 per unit.
2. Reduce the tax mod for virals by a large amount and change their focus to either commercial or industry (mabey both).
3. Significantly reduce the tax mod for Miners and improve their Mining or Industry (or perhaps both depending on the changes to virals).
The alterations to Guardians would make them the major food consumers, which would compensate for the loss of food demand caused by the elimination of tax miners. Eliminating tax miners would help increase CG and mineral production. The changes made to the Viral race would be the `wildcard` used to correct any imbalances that the changes to Guardians and Miners cause. |

BSVengeance 99+ day(s) ago | guards don`t need to be any richer then they already are. believe me, i know, i`ve held 100 bill with guard for ages till a UW went off, its not hard to get alot of money, btu its hard to get rid of it without blowing it on the market. guard is fin as it is, perfectly balanced. |
mallow 99+ day(s) ago | basically you want things easier for terrans, ie more cg`s so you can make more money, the whole idea is not to make terrans too easy so people do diversify if you make the industry mod higher then all the a miners at the moment will produce alot mor cg`s and then you terrans will mak more moeny when the market is over flowing wioth them and you only have to pay about $2 for each cg,
i accept what you say about virals, they need to be toned down, but dont change gaurdians they are fine the way they are |
