GalacticAddict 2006-09-29 | | Food Supporters | | Awhile back there was a thread about people who were going to support the food producers in the game. Since the food has come back down from the 20`s some of us have been having a problem. Will things turn around soon? |

EvilAbadayos 99+ day(s) ago | told u the food price will plumit...more empires are agri and less empires are tax...do the math |
Demandred 99+ day(s) ago | MWAHAHAHAHAH |
Achilles 99+ day(s) ago | I`m not playing for a couple months so i don`t care either way. But i thought food@15 was fair and both producers and consumers would have made money but food producers got greedy. Bottom line! |
Zenith 99+ day(s) ago | Ok, let`s all keep food at 7, just for achilles`s sake.
I don`t really mind now, since I`m in full production mode and not caring about whether my posts affect the price. |
Achilles 99+ day(s) ago | Food market is very hard to controll even if your uber rich.
Problem is
Max food storage
As food gets higher most empires choose to become self sufficient
More empires become Ag based because it`s more profitable
Greed
A food viral or food terran will make more than a com terran or viral even if food sells @7; However, by artificially trying to inflate the price you cause yourself more harm than good. Because empires will get fed up buying over priced food and market will crash. How many tax based empires you think there really are on gc/rt? Not a heck of allot. The best way to get the best price for food is not by trying to screw over tax based empires but by collective bargiing .
tax based empires agree on a ceiling price (max in which they are willing to pay) . Food producers agree to this price or bargin for a more mutually agreeable price A ceiling is selected for food aswell as a floor (lowest price food can be posted for). Thus both tax based empires and food based empires make a nice profit |
