  Mineral Generation Formula

Hi all,

The Mineral Generation formula has been bugging me recently, so I ran some tests and have found the correct formula. The planet mining modifier DOES make a difference (for example, a U.Fertile as A Miner will produce 22 minerals per turn, regardless of mining research level - this is what caught my attention).

The correct formula should be:
2 * Planet Count * Race Mining Modifier * ((Mining research level * Planet Mining Mod / 10) + 1)

For example, an A Miner, with level 6 Mining Research and a C2 would have the following
Planet Count for C2 = 25
Mining Research = 6
C2 Mining Modifier = 1.2 (additional 20%)
A Miner Modifier = 11 (additional 1000%)

2 * 25 * 11 * ((6 * 1.2 / 10) + 1) = 946 minerals per turn

An A Miner, with level 100 Mining Research and a U.Fertile would have the following
Planet Count for U.Fertile = 1
Mining Research = 100
U.Fertile Mining Modifier = 0 (classed as N/A, so minus 100%)
A Miner Modifier = 11 (additional 1000%)

2 * 1 * 11 * ((100 * 0 / 10) + 1) = 22 minerals per turn

Feel free to PM me, but I have checked this for each race for multiple planets up to mining research level 15

Ahhh ok. That makes sense. Thanks

The formula changed on the backend, the formula was forgotten in the update process. ~ BW

That formula is wrong. I had just my home planet (Forest - Red Crystal) and a U.Fertile (Composite). I put all my composite on the market and used 45 turns and 990 Composite in stock. I then researched Mining to level 14 and the same thing. The formula that I gound on the forum was nowhere near the actual figures I was getting.

Planet & Race Mod Helper (Convert percentage to multiplier)
((Planet or Race Mod / 100) + 1) = Multiplier
Example Terran Agriculture Mod - ((20 / 100) + 1) = 1.2
Example Viral Commercial Mod - ((-30 / 100) + 1) = 0.7

how to work out the race mining mod above.

a mineral miner with 100 mining infra and a fertile, will make 1,441 from the fertile alone each turn, i dont know where your getting 22 from

(Planets in Colony * ((0.13 * Mining Research) + 1) * Race Mining Mod
heres the formula
