Raistilin 99+ day(s) ago | Oh yeah, certainly shouldn`t be +250. I think that the mod should scale based on the amount of land/planets. Maybe 3.5x for 1 planet, max of 10k land, and then continues to 1x by the time you reach 26 planets and 50k land.
Or something along similar, I am just tossing numbers to give an example not to set what "should be". |
Omegian 99+ day(s) ago | I hear you Raist, but their mod alone of +250 is already 10x that of a c3. It needs to be reduced to 2x-3x only otherwise why even bother with c3s. I can just horde U. Riches at 100k land and make way more on that than on c3s of 500k land. |
Raistilin 99+ day(s) ago | While I agree that clustering, hoarding and fighting to keep large planet count/land-size should be highly encouraged and such...we should also keep in mind to leave avenues for a more casual player base. I`m not saying we should cater to letting the current paradigm exist where you can be high land, income, and explorable.
Instead we should allow for average empires who can build up an empire that allows them to experience content without having to log in daily to maintain their playstyle. Having a U class like Rich where when explored could be a random 1 to 26 planet count along with moderate land/modifiers would let people build unique empires.
As long as there are caps in place such like the other threads mentioned with exploration changes where landsize now affects your exploration or depreciating modifiers based on excessive land, these would help keep limitations on how far an empire could grow without risk. |

One of the things I always disliked about new empires and going through that process was the need to strip mine for a few hours to be able to use any halfway decent cluster you obtained. |

It needs 10x the ore it currently has at least, and maybe a higher minimum land (1 mil ore is still pretty useless on a 2 land rich) |
Raistilin 99+ day(s) ago | Could do that, also could add in a bit of randomness to the U Rich. Have it where it could be between 1-26 planet count, Top land amount set to 15k, no higher. Then add it so it has random Industry bonus but also has a chance for additional mineral generation.
Be something like -
One planet count, 1st mineral 100% chance, 2nd .1%, 3rd .01% Two planet count, 1st mineral 100% chance, 2nd .5%, 3rd .05% ... Twenty Six planet count, 1st mineral 100% chance, 2nd 80% chance, 3rd 8%, 4th .8%
