Stargaters 2015-06-26 | | RT Minerals | | I`m sick of hearing people complain about RT minerals. No matter how much mineral Miners post, people buy it out because the stock allowed is way too high, the price is capped way too low, and empires still just make too much money for any new people to have a chance. Here`s proof of the greed. Please, EE and BW, address this in your next update.

Caramelo18 99+ day(s) ago | Ankaar, you can dig your own gordos as well so start digging, if you arent getting at least 5k land per month from digging your doing it wrong. This however doesnt change the fact that a 2nd dig time has to be made for the game at the opposite hours of the current dig time. And no one will play a game where they can loose everything in a blink of an eye. I`ve seen countless people stop playing because they lost everything on other games (i myself have had that problem). Gc deals with this easily by making it hard to loose stuff.
Uc has paid systems which you cant get in any other way besides paying or doing OMs (aka top fed), now thats pay to win. And those actually give an unfair advantage defensivelly, gordos just make you do more cash, it doesnt make you climb the ranks any easier (you still spend the same turns). Ofc you could always buy Regs in hopes of getting more BTCs/STCs but frankly, gordo/btc/stc buying is not something the game has to address, the game actually wants to have this as it pays the servers (remember 200$ was spent by GK, thats probably far more than everyone spent in paids on that month) :P
No game can survive without cash inflow
The fact that minerals dont depend of land explains why nearly no one is a mineral maker. However this game has a ton of food makers because of the fact that food rellies on land and not planet numbers (heck 1 fertile with 100k size land on terran can supply a lot of food). If this doesnt tell you minerals has to be land based to compete with other income forms, nothing else will. Food fertile on terran btw is the best income in the game, even better than tax aspha assuming food price doesnt drop below 8? i think its 8. Just a curiosity |
Outsidthbox 99+ day(s) ago | thanks for trying, ill just try to keep my eyes open on the market more often so I can get some minerals to fight with. |
Stargaters 99+ day(s) ago | I have to agree with Ankaar here. I don`t think land-based mineral generation is the best idea, because it just allows people with a bunch of money to throw at gordos to get even more of an advantage. The way it`s generated now seems like the best it can be to me, it`s mostly about finding a better balance between how much people can store and how much people require. |
Ankaar 99+ day(s) ago | I honestly dont like the idea of land based mineral generation
Mineral generation as it currently stands is pretty fair, and also allows for newer players to learn the game and have a pretty strong income to boot. Its an easy + decently strong income, but not as strong as a high land income could potentially be. After theyve had their fun with mineral generation, they will get bored and move on to something slightly more challenging, land based income.
And caramelo, thats the problem. Land is almost impossible to take unless someone goes inactive. You can buy gordos with cash, and you risk almost nothing. Thats pay to win right there. |
Caramelo18 99+ day(s) ago | this would be a win win situation for both sides... :P |
Caramelo18 99+ day(s) ago | ankaar, you could have a 30mil land on the homeworld and you would never EVER loose it :P
Frankly people dont like loosing, so keep that status quo, id prefer if when i attacked someone, me being a certain race would benefit from their gas they left on the border, even if it was useless to them :P |
Caramelo18 99+ day(s) ago | Back to the subject at hand... minerals land based please :) |
Ankaar 99+ day(s) ago | If you have a 30 mil land (i know im exaggerating) planet as your main, even as miner youd have to go inactive for 4 days with 3 planet loss every day before someone could even steal that planet from you.
Given that, stacking means nothing |
GoodKnight 99+ day(s) ago | land isnt everything, if u cant stack then all the cash and land isnt going to make you any better at the game |
Caramelo18 99+ day(s) ago | Ankaar, what admins? go ask steph, he will tell you which game makes the most cash right now, the only reason uc even makes cash atm, besides the odd 1 or 2 players who buy paid acc, is that gc buy their coupons from uc cause gc has some issues... trust me, uc isnt making 30 $ a month (specially when OMs exist) :P
I mean who the hell is even spending money on uc right now? Gc has 3 times the activity and i suspect 10x the paid accounts paid by money (not OMs), so no, gc makes more cash right now
This still doesnt matter... the truth is, money has to come in from somewhere, if land factor gives the game cash, then keep it. One person can compete with this by digging himself. |
Ankaar 99+ day(s) ago | On top of that, if there was a way to make Pay to win players quit the game, Im all for that. |
Ankaar 99+ day(s) ago | carm, admins have stated multiple times that uc`s income carries gamestotal |
GoodKnight 99+ day(s) ago | Tel me about it. Cost me 1trill to build to 359mill of and I was making money until 100mill |
GalacticMercenaries 99+ day(s) ago | A.Miner is my favorite race they may make all that $ but until your an A.Miner you won`t understand it cost so much $ to build and climb high |
GalacticMercenaries 99+ day(s) ago | Stargazers your just a small A.miner posting small batches even tho it`s getting all bought up 1 a.miner can`t produce enough minerals for everyone when I was an a. Miner I didn`t have any problem keeping minerals on the market all it takes if 5 active a. Miners and the market will flood and the a.miners will suffer. It`s a push and pull when the market dries up more people will go a. Miner same with food if food stays high it encourages more people to become food producers |
Caramelo18 99+ day(s) ago | my opinion still stands, make minerals depend of land so miners may "think" if they want to be tax or mineral :P |
Ap0caLypSe 99+ day(s) ago | pretty sure gc would still be making more than uc without GK so yeh... |
GoodKnight 99+ day(s) ago | Last month i spent around 200$ this month around 20$ expecting to spend more in the coming month as paids last 30 days |
GoodKnight 99+ day(s) ago | If people want minerals they only have to ask me im more then happy to post some |
Yoshi 99+ day(s) ago | How about for a start, we learn to leave some for others? |
