  Market abuse?

I don`t know if posting hundreds of stacks of food at the minimum amount is abuse or not, but it`s really annoying to be forced to spend 5-10 minutes buying batches of 10k food that were all posted at roughly the same time... Not to mention it makes your event history spammed as heck.

9:38 PM 30/05/15 You have bought 10,000 units of Food for 90,000 $ !

There is a limit of 16 post per 15-20min or so but that limit can be "bypassed" by relogin.

Ender I know what you mean though, it would be nice if you could decide a figure you wanted to purchase, and you just purchased it, so that regardless of who and how many were sold per posting you could.

eg

terran metal 10,000 @ 950
terran metal 5,000,000 @1,000

You purchase 1,000,000, and the first 10,000 comes from that first posting, the rest comes from the second.
negatives are
- risk of overspending - is that someone might commit to buying at 950, but not at 1,000 and then would be stuck with it, though this could probably be avoided with a formula permitting only items of the same initial cost.
---- Mind you this can be a risk in the market anyway, and does add a little excitement, as in
"whoa~! yay I did get that at the low price before anyone else spotted it"
or
"omg I`m going to slaughter/enslave the empire who just bought those out before I did"

- makes it easier for richest empires to buy out the market

positives are
- easier to buy out the market

OK. Yeah, I wasn`t sure if it was considered abuse or not. Just extremely annoying.

I don`t recall any limits like that between 2004 to 2012,I`ll admit I`ve not been that active in the last 3 years and haven`t bothered to read the forums when I`ve logged in.

From memory the only time someone was warned about it ever officially was when their bot was detected and was posting 1 mineral at a time, the warning was more about the bot from memory.

Maybe that person was hoping that one player didn`t buy all the minerals.
