They don`t post mins on market because then get max cash so easy they don`t need to post minerals. Miners need a nerf to income or have max cash/food limits increased |
VeneVidiVici 99+ day(s) ago | hmm i proposed this earlier... create some sort of bankin system.. you can put cash or withdraw from that.. it will be safe from arti atttacks.. you can only get to the bank when its open. only limited withdraws or put money on it...in that way peeps wont have the need to invest in mins... that realy is the only solution i see... most of other stuff is rubbish.. some others are good toughts tho but not achieveble with our server capacity.. i used to see 800+ players from pos 1 to NP... nowadays 120 if it goes well.. in ma days durin an uw if ya could stay 10 min outa dp and where against UW thaat deserved some medal.. you get kicked in the ground so fast.. now with the capacity.. hmm UW ??? where ?? lol |

Being an unpaid alien race, aminers tend to get over looked, like if you are a paying account you are not so incline to play a unpaid race.
Thus =) more paid ship or unpaid ship would to me, switch more empires to aminers and thus you get more minerals, since they have to sell something lol |

But i agree with reducing the price, if we reduce the price mineral miners have to sell more to make the same amount, so it would make sense ;D. |

He stops posting when he maxes out cash, no way nerfing generation is going to affect that. Only price of minerals and only by lowering it.
Here`s the option u have for making minerals more available:
- Lower cap on max minerals, fewer people will buy them out all the time.
- lower price on minerals making miners have to post more of them to make the same amount as now.
- Remove dineros from the game making the incentive to keep cash in minerals smaller
- Make uws easier thereby requiring smaller stocks of minerals (cash) to succeed.
Problem is that all of these reduce the incentive to play mineral miner in the first place as they all reduce income
Things that will increase mineral shortage:
Nerf mineral generation
- fewer minerals available overall and less incentive to play mineral miner
Im not even sure what max cash is, but if its 2 trill
2..000.000.000.000/(1.000*9.999.999) = 200 stacks of 9.999.999 @ 1000 $
how exactly is that amount going to change if you nerf mineral generation cause I dont see it being involved in that calculation.
imo this uw was not needed as now, people like myself who were contemplating doing a uw sometime will have to start rebuilding their mineral reserve all over. |

It means they will still have to post 10 but will increase time between posting by 1/3 |

More posts, more time to achieve the same goal = a more active market. Its reducing the generation percentage by 1/3. And no I don`t think players will stop being Minor because of that lol. Also to compensate I think upkeep should be dropped by a small amount.
The idea is they have to post more than they do now to make the same amount of money. |

If they generate 1/3 of the minerals they generate now, they still have to post the same amount of minerals to make the same money they do now as minerals sell for the same.
By reducing minerals generation by miners you will make them poorer yes, but make minerals even more difficult to get. Miners are likely to post less if you cut generation as maxing out is difficult.
AND, miners have no incentive to flod the market with minerals as that will only reduce the price.
What you are trying to say; I think , is to nerf prices by 1/3. That will force them to sell more minerals (but will likely cause fewer people to play mineral miner so no point in doing that I guess). |

{DrKsT}GuArDiAn 99+ day(s) ago | One of the main facets here that`s being missed is the fact A Minor makes to much money and the mineral generation percentage needs to be nerfed. That combined with an under populated server makes for a dry market.
Minors build up their storehouse of resources and with a 1000% mineral generation they make way more than they need so they max out too quickly. Then they focus on on other resources like ore. Raising ship upkeep for Minor isn`t a solution either, their is no need to further handicap an already battle enfeebled race. A Minor should be an attractive race to fight with to encourage high PR ability that will help insure good field activity. I suggest nerfing mineral generation by at least 1/3 and probably take a second look at upkeep on the main ships to compensate.
Bear in mind nerfing mineral generation will not hinder the market just slow down the income so they will need to post 1/3 more to make as much. |
