No minerals in the market gc/r

Not that we had a new player in the past 6 years, but lf one happens to find their way to the game , how long would they stay with a bare market.
We have two choices here really

1) Artificially produce minerals in the market

or

2) eliminate all price / storage caps and let the free enterprise system do its job

otherwise :(

I invest in minerals not because I care about people arti`ing my cash, but because I can only hold 1 trillion cash, and I can make that in 2 or 3 days.

Jammer wins at life for getting paid to play this game!

I spent a good three years playing a guard. Restarting made me realize just how dead this game is. I don`t really play or intend to play seriously ever again, I`m only clicking while I`m at work cause I`m getting paid to do it.

force restart people who put a lot of money and time into an empire is not fair. it may be fair for people like you who play a new empire every year or less but not for the others. that is surely not a way to get people to play more. i for one would leave.

I believe the best thing that can happen to this game is a fore restart of every empire, it would either motivate people to get back to where they were or better, and bring life to the server. Life that could possibly attract new players, since no one wants to play a dead game, or just make us all realize we`re better without this game, and kill it entirely.

Either way, we win.

remove credit arties and increase the max credit limit, but doubtful any solution will come into effect on this game since staff can only do so much.

i agree with Hopeless i myself have just over 2 trillion in minerals because having that in cash is dangerous with artifact hounds around that will artifact you into next week just because they can or just because they think you slighted them in some way personally i would love to be sitting ontop of the richlist especially now that i am a 1 planet empire but i know if i were to sell alot of minerals i would lose most of the cash that i would make from them

Pete, I think that`s a pretty good idea, double the price, cut production in half. But that would unbalance the net value of all the empires who already have max minerals.

People don`t like being reduced to poverty by artifacts, so they invest in minerals as a safe haven. Just like RL people invest in gold and other expensive metals. Maybe if the money reducing artifacts were removed, people would sell and not amass

If mineral requirements are removed on ships - then why have minerals at all?? Thats the only place they are consumed.

The problem with mineral mining is that there is no consumption. So when the server is active and fighting noone buys minerals, and when its inactive everyone buys them. It is soo easy to build a mineral mining empire that produces enough minerals for the whole server. the combination of these too effects and the fact that people dunno where to put their money makes the mineral market highly unstable.

The best thing you could do imo, would be to raise the mineral cost of ships, reduce the mineral production of miners and raise the maximum price of mineral to 2000.

I`m starting to work on minerals for ya, mate. Would be easier if I was paid, but that`s not the case for the foreseeable future. Hang on for a while, and I`ll do what I can to overfill the market with delicious minerals.

Or just remove mineral requirements on all ships
