  Reward Miner Ships  

I think it`s been discussed before, but given the relative rarity of the reward ships for miner (the "other" G.Livid ship), why not make them super hard to kill? I mean so hard to kill that it would take like a 10-1 pr ratio to kill a single ship. S

It would still be relatively meaningless for high pr players, but pretty significant for newer players at low levels.

Again, given how one can only get these ships on a one-time basis from missions, I think it`s fair to say that they should be much harder to beat and kill.

Thoughts?

Let me put it another way, you can`t compete with terrans or miners when it comes to cash. How about that? :)

Collective only have 1 mission: to assimilate EVERYTHING. Maru? to PLUNDER EVERYTHING!! YARRRR!!!!! And of course the common flu`s mission (oh sorry, virals) is to INFECT everything and make more of themselves on a daily basis.

If you feel there should be more to your mission set than that, then here are your options. Option A) Start being terran and start farming, print money out of thin air, and consume those goods like the good little consumer that you are. Option B) Be a miner, dig that ore and minerals in them mining tunnels, make those commercial goods that terrans love so much, and maybe even become one-up the terrans in their money printing shenanigans :D. Option C) Explode a mini-UW and become a sentient ball of guardian energy. You`ll be eternally poor, but at least you`ll find happiness and joy as you and your fellow energy sentient make more of yourselves, research the secrets of the universe for the purpose of making even more of yourselves, and sing Kumbaya all day long in your massively massive motherships. :D

Varda, your post isn`t constructive criticism. 2nd, your statement would only be true if you can actually BUILD these ships. My point is, you CANT.

The general idea I`m trying to get across is that the reward livids should be substantially better than they are now, and must be much harder to lose. The reward has to actually MEAN something for longer than a few days.

keep the energy and chem shields as they are, and make kenetic/missile like +60%

Varda you may dislike the idea, but that does not give you the right to answer in such disrespectfull ways. Afterall new ideas is one of the things that keeps this game alive. I am sure you would be pissed if someone else answered your ideas that are not always very thought through either this way.

I like the idea of making the rewarded livids a better version of the original one, but i do think the suggestion is too good.

Again, considering you can ever get 17 of these ships, they should be pretty hard to beat (although you`ll still lose them 1 by 1 over time obviously). Obviously hard enough that you`d need fed war or a counter just to kill even one of them, but nothing absurd either.

This ship, would need 35 hercs to kill, so obviously it would make me invulnerable at i just kept the ship at base pr. However, if i ever made an attack that wasnt a counter, I would stand to lose the ship.

Again, this might seem like an absurd build, but remember you only get 17 ships. They dont do that much damage in the grand scheme of things, but they would stick with you for a good long while.
