Whats happening with D.Marau in the update? I`d like to know if we are going to see them avaliable for peolpe who succesfully set of an UW as has been suggested several times awhile back. I think this would be one of the best features in the game.
This would encourage more people to try UWs which would make more fun for everyone and a more active GC.
I think one of the specials for the race would be that you carn`t restart as them once you have become them, meaning if you die, you can only restart back as a usual paid/unpaid race.
Any more ideas on D.Marau? Or any other comments about this?

99+ day(s) ago | I think they should have ships similar to Marauder, but have better shields and range, but lessen the damage. Also, name the ships after birds, like the Marauder ships are mainly named after fish. Look at the little fishies. |

99+ day(s) ago | I have an idea to make their playing style hard. Give them lots of ships similar to the G. livid. That is to say, super-specific ships that are the ultimate counters to only some ships, but rubbish at everything else. For example, the livid kills borrellys and strafez and pure-energy ships (think garuda), but is bad at almost everything else. Give them ships with 99% shields on certain attack types, and -50% on all others, a more general guardian.
Now those stacks will be interesting.
As for income generation, what about a tax-based empire that consumes food two times faster than normal, but gets a negative tax mod? And can reward population, of course.
Also, could add in the no explore/plunder x. class ability.
Maybe set the handicap a bit lower... |

99+ day(s) ago | Yeah, make the Dark Maruder Ultra-hard to master - and give all those who make UWs 1 chance to master it. Then it will not be much Dark Maruders around - but it is still possible for someone to make it and get strong with it if they master it.
For example max. 7 planets - clusters on eks. max. 625 in size. Possible to cluster all types of clusters - no matter infected/tainted or not. No homeworld. Hard to get positive income. Positive upkeep (gain money for holding ships) but extreemly expensive ships. (so if able to not loose stack it can get very very powerful - so everyone else on the server have to try keeping them down). Possible for them to do UWs - demand restart - but they can keep research. Lots of ideas and suggestion that I think could make the game a bit more fun.
Maybe even make Dark Maruders a time-limited race. For example force them to restart as Terran them after 200 days, forcing all of them to get strong fast and do another UW to keep staying as Dark Maruder.
Well, not all of this suggestions is very good - but I still think all changes are good changes. It is lots of vets around that are bored to death as this game isnt really challenging and dynamic as other games around. |

99+ day(s) ago | I like the idea that setting off a UW you can get them but they should be treated like the rest of the paid account races and i would try to place as them but i want to set off a UW and then play as DarkMaruader but then if my empire dies i don`t want to go back through the same thing again just to play as the same race. (but thats just my opion.) |
