Simple solution turn all you housing labor into Ag labor. Even if you have no Ag infra research you will be able to place more labor in Ag because your labor requirements for housing to max a cluster are very low.
Tax miners and virals
this calculation will be a rough estimate of what you would make with no ag infra research and food @20+
(total land allocated to AG) (multiplied by 10) diveded by 2
example A miner with 50k land allocated to Ag with no infra
50,000(10) = 500,000/2 = 250,000 food per turn
250,000 food per turn at current market prices is $5 million per turn and up. Than when food drops to reasonable levels than convert back to tax based economy. Changing infra does not effect loyalty so it`s little inconvience.
So "tax" based empires there are other options besides restarting . If you can`t beat them than join them and produce food aswell \**/ |

secondly, why does the bought food have to make a profit ? there`s no profit being made in fighting but people do that - perhaps the market is also part of the `conquest` that is this game. |

Not desperate just annoyed ozorg.I can use my c2 to make food and cg`s if i have too.as far as name calling goes i thought "retards" would have been filtered to "not-smarts" or something lol.I think my question was a legit one though.Me and at least a handful of other empires that would be buying food are making it now.So if people who are buying food that are only buying to keep the price high, who are they going to sell it to to make a profit on it? |

i know the figures possibly more than u TBK considering i was agri terran making 2.9 mill food a turn.
i do know its 1 food per infra alocated to food then its modified to race standards so terran is 1.3 per miner is 0.5 per
dont believe me? go to community site and get the handy calc there and plug in the numbers to ur hearts content or use teh above formula which the said calc uses
