99+ day(s) ago | all of the arguments made for/against food pricing are interesting but in the long term probably not all that relevant.
1) people who prefer a tax-empire style of empire and/or are good at that will continue to run that empire no matter what the short term food price
2) pricing is cyclical. i`ve only been around a few months and i`ve seen food stay around 5-6 and peak around100. twice already.
3) if enough people restart as agris then yes, the price will drop - which will benefit the ones who stayed as tax empires and/or encouarge people to switch back. again, cylical
4) any money made by agri empires will eventually get spent - they`re flush enough they`ll battle more or consider a UW..
so - food famine 06, an interesting and fun time for food producers but i can`t see it causing long term tax empires too much of an issue
and the empires that do restart are probably players good enough to be a success no matter what the situation is. |
