Terrans are rarely if ever touched for a reason, they are balanced. they can do well in any type of situation and any type of fleet. People need to stop worrying about how to make them "more" balanced and use them as criteria for balancing the other races. I guess it`s still a little unbalanced for other races, but I`ve Never saw one race as superior (except good ol` Aspha Miners, and my opinion is in the minority there, always has been).
That said, Marauder Do Not need a starbase. Starbases are defensive weapons, Marauder don`t do defense. A Marauder Starbase would guard what? According to their description, Marauder don`t have a home or stationary base to protect. :P
It is under this same logic that Collective and Viral don`t have dreads, dreads are for destruction, their races are for infection. Smaller ships are better for doing damage and "boarding" enemy ships. It is how their race is meant to be.
Guardians don`t have them for the obvious fact that they just don`t need them. Their fighters climb like dreads. :P
Terrans having D class ships? Whaaat? Why would Dark Marauder give Terrans their ships? "Here, use these ships humans. The next time we try to rob you you can defend yourself with our own tech."
So many changes proposed do not coincide with the context of the race people wish to change... does any body actually think of the race they are playing when making some of these suggestions?? |

99+ day(s) ago | That said, I think that SerpentofOld race (I am now my own race), should have K.Yang-Xe, because I am the father of Kal-Zul and they wanted to offer me their Juggernaught as a way to say thanks.
I should also be given D.Triakis and D.Megalodon from Dark Marauder, as my race conquered them in days of old.
The Guardians, thanking my people for defeating their rivals, awarded me with their most valued Ruby`s and G.Diamond`s.
After many centuries of co-inhabiting a Viral cluster, my people, unable to be infected by their kind, was granted permission to use their V.Borrelly`s in the hopes that we would use them to spread their infection, which we did.
This lead to the reverse-engineering of Terran and Aspha Miner ships as follows; P.Thor, Nirvana, Hercules, M.Lyth, and M.Chlor.
Seeing the superiority of our great and all-powerful race, Collectives gave us peace offerings to be spared our reign of destruction; H.Galleon and H.Man-O-War.
When our ungodly army began to pillage Marauder armadas, a wisely fearful Marauder gave us their Pikes and Pyths, in return for us never again eradicating Marauders.
And so it was, and so it shall be again. We of SerpentofOld want our long overdue trophies. Give us our ships, Then, we can address the other update suggestions everyone has made. :P |
