how long this game has bee around eh?
IF my calculation is rite...
roughly around 7 (SEVEN) FREAKING YEARS.....!!!
and why this game is still around while the players are around 50-80 in a good day nowadays is anyone`s guessing... and that good day is becoming once in a blue moon... :P
i`m astounding that some of us are still around until now... definately there are around 30 loyal players all over the world daily that makes SFGC still active in a span of 24 hrs a day...
why SFGC`s stagnant? the GMAs are doing their level best but how far they can go eh?
where the heck is Stephen eh? a game that can last more than 5 years can or should reach greater height, but SFGC? sigh...
so what`s gonna be Stephen? are we all still around in SFGC to see the 10th year?
i wish to say more and whine more... but does it matter?

i think what the next step will be is for someone that truely cares about this game to create a program that will illistrate with graphics parts of the game. with ships and planets that sort of thing where when you make an attack or explore a planet you can actually see ships and planets in a graphic window of sorts. same for battles and those things. will be quite difficult creating each and every ship and making the program so elaborate that it can show every ship in your fleet! will be quite amazing if it is ever done

99+ day(s) ago | With an empire at 600 days old I consider myself a newbie, but I have to say that text-based games are more challenging than graphics based games.
Anyone with decent hand-eye coordination can play almost any video game made, but it takes a few gray cells to build a competitive stack while avoiding being predictable. I know I learn more everyday.
Like which arties will bring down a shield and which will not. LOL. |

I hate that I used to be an English major. Oh, and starseeker, I hated anaboliking, because people would do that to me whenever I inherited a fed, (I didn`t start getting paid status until two or three years ago) not because I was an enemy, but just to get their rockers off. Made me wish for the arti stores I have now. I mean, I could understand if it was an enemy fed, but I was by myself minding my own business, then people would ask to join, and kindhearted person that I am I would let them in, then there would go the fed. |

Text based game rock!
It shows that we`re not a bunch o idot playing only to see spilled guts and nice explosion..
Many of us (stayers) described our enjoyment of this game differently that other game`s enjoyer. You ppl notice that.
Like for me, i only play this mmog (for real) but have a liking on game trends of dawn o war and l4d and many good games i don`t remenber for now.
The thing is, we survive becaise of something stephen did. ,aking this game this way. And i`ll sureky stay regarless of after how many i UW`d the game... |

99+ day(s) ago | This game is reasonably balanced, no one race totally dominates, all races can be competitive. More graphics make it not GC. This is primarily a text based strategy game. Constant updates can cause bugs and imbalance more than improve game play. I`ve played on and off since 2003.
Many of us are still around because we enjoy the game.
Things I do miss...Deathmatch, anaboliking (fed voting), GC in the chat. |

precisely the reason that miners should keep the bases they have now, the way they are. they allow a fairly new player to compete with players who have been around for years. |
