Long story short, I got tired of playing on my phones web browser and I thought to my self, "An android app would be great." So I decided to start making one. It has a ways to go before release but I`ve made enough to give those you interested a little peak. It`s nothing special but should make playing the game much easier than the web browser version.

99+ day(s) ago | One request to the community to speed things up. In order to reduce the amount of load I`m transferring all ship data into an XML format for me to simply load when needed. This is pretty time consuming and so I`m hoping others will lend a hand, adding 2 or 3 ships into the list so that I can spend more time with the actual coding of he App.

There is something to be said about getting phones for the kids. There are apps out there that can help parents track the location of the phones via the GPS system, and of course you can call em up too.
The awesome thing about being the generation that grew up with computers is that we can take our computer skillz and use it in parenting when we have our own kids, and it adds to that "my parents know everything" mistique when we use spy tools on them and we catch them in their lies. They`ll never know what hit em until the paddle schwacks their bottoms. xD |

99+ day(s) ago | I do use Anfit`s mod and have already planned on add some of his features into the app, though I wouldn`t expect them on the first release as I`m working on getting the framework in place before anything else is added on top of it. At fully functional app is better than a shiny one that breaks all the time. =P |

99+ day(s) ago | Yea, Anfit would be a great help with developing paid features for the app, esp if you made an app revenue sharing deal with him where you give him 25% of revenue from sales of the paid app or something. |

@Honey yeah that`s what I`m aiming at. Many more people are constantly playing with their phones than sitting at their computers for hours on end haha. |

I think an entirely new type of people, that wouldn`t normally enjoy gc, would enjoy a phone based version that can be played while waiting in lines etc, just to fill in the gaps of the day... all those people that can`t sit still without some sort of entertainment. |

Meta, seriously, you ABSOLUTELY need to get with Stephen and work out some deal with him. If your app leads to new signups to GC, and those signups lead to paids, you will DEFINITELY want to get in on 25% of the revenue. Get some unique promo code or something so new players get some nominal benefit for signing up like 50m cash or something, and then if at any time that player decides to get a paid you get a percentage of that revenue. |
