  unification vs galactic

For me Unification is far too combat oriented for me to like
you get knocked into DP all the time
4 minutes a turn is well fast and most of those turns get used on replacement ships and then almost immediately they get killed off

galactic runs however at a much slower pace and lest combat activity because it takes a while to build up the planets
sp i`d much rather play this one

You really would have hated this game in it`s glory days then. I remember when you had to be super fast leaving DP on RT trying to hit a target, as you had seconds at best before you got hit yourself. Assuming that you were lucky enough that they weren`t already in DP. Sure, higher PRs were different but the low areas were filling with swarms of n00b hunters. Even on ultra or fast, you`d only be out of dp for 15ish minutes. I`ve been out of dp on ultra for two days now, exploring.

UC is mean to be rich; while GC is mean to be fight.

they have different purpose. what`s the point to compare both of them XD

That is not even a contest. UC is all about quantity, since there is not really a planet cap per say. As a result, one can theoretically build up indefinitely by fighting. Sure we in GC have gordoes, but they are far less effective. This significantly sharper drop off in growth potention in GC greatly encourages UW use since there is less incentive to keep building. UC also has the whole mechanic where stronger empires could be your "Master" and feed you massive amounts of resources, making early game economics completely pointless. If memory serves, they had a major incentive to do so, meaning that established empires would have a major advantage over others who didn`t maintain a constant vigil for new players.

Any inaccuracies can be attributed to the fact that I have not played UC in ages.

here is the sum of battleing in both UC and GC, in UC maybe 5% of the ships in the game are used and most are completely useless and combat requires little is no skill to do, however on GC pretty much every ship is decent and can be used, you need a lot of skill to hit people because you don`t get many chances to attack and planets are a lot more valuable yet hard to get off of a good player
