HoneyBucket{HH} 2010-02-10 | | Anti-Depressants | | Can anyone suggest any anti-depressants that have worked well for you personally or someone you know? I have tried a few, can`t remember their names, but none seem to help much.
Btw, if you`re wondering, i noticed the forum was a little dead, so figured i`d try to get some randomly different chats going. |

Biohazard 99+ day(s) ago | HoneyBucket if you have severe depresion for more than a decade i want to suggest that you seek proffesional help.
If your looking for meds and a possible answere in them, YOU MUST SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP, ANTI DEPRESSIVES CAN REALLY REALLY MESS UP YOUR LIVE IF YOU USE THE WRONG ONCE OR THE WRONG QUANTITY.
DO BE CARE FULL !!!!!!!!!!!!
yes the caps are on purposes.

HoneyBucket{HH} 99+ day(s) ago | Ear... depression is not usually from something external to you, or from something that happens to you. Many times it can just be a chemical imbalance within yourself. For myself, I notice that there are times when everything is great and i feel terribly down, other times when life is unbelievably bad, yet i am feeling great, well relatively great. It`s unpredictable.
Aacra, yeah i smoked for 4 years, which did the trick, but got sick of the side effects such as memory loss, loss of ambition, etc. Looking for something with less side effects. and lol. |
Aacra 99+ day(s) ago | have you tried the reafer?? other than that, id say cialis, viagra or any combination of the 3 |

FlashysDomain 99+ day(s) ago | HoneyBucket....jeesh, you just need the right contact. Want a few phone numbers?
Anti-depressants. Not counting non tobacco smoking substances, I hit the gym or get together for a rough and tumble game of football or basketball (football = soccer). gym is Ok, but hitting the pitch or the hardwoods going into a rough battle, then afterwards limping off with a few nicks and bruises works wonders getting the stress out. Nothing like getting knocked about, wiping the blood off and throwing oneself back into the war to get ones attitude adjusted... |
HoneyBucket{HH} 99+ day(s) ago | Yeah I tried seroquel once, i seemed to be overly sensitive to it is what the doc said, my body got very tense, I would wake up with sore muscles because all of my muscles stayed tight all night long. Though I have heard that other people have had good results. |
SPIKER 99+ day(s) ago | Seroquel Information from Drugs.com
Seroquel (quetiapine) treats the symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. |
HoneyBucket 99+ day(s) ago | Well thanks for the input. Yes humping a woman is a great temporary fix but does not always work and never for very long.
Flame, I totally agree that it is best to face the depression head on and not avoid the issue or complicate it with medication. This has been my stance for years.
But I have struggled with severe depression for over 12 years now and to be honest with you I`m to the point where I`ve tried many things and I am nearly willing to try anything to feel a little better. I feel like maybe if I could just get some relief for a while with medication that it would allow me to work through my problems a little better and get to the point where I don`t need medication.
Though I am still not sure if I am willing to try meds, I am just considering all options right now. Though I have crabpy med insurance and I called yesterday and found out that they won`t cover mental health issues, so for now I guess I don`t have much of a choice, no meds.
But still curious if anyone has had any real success taking meds to recuperate from depression.
So far the most help I have found has been from working out regularly and a healthy diet, really those two have done wonders for me. Though lately I had a severe injury, was in the hospital for almost two weeks and I haven`t been able to work out, so the depression has been hitting extra hard.
Well again thanks for everyone`s input, if anyone has any more suggestions I am all ears, or i guess eyes in this case eh. |
Flame 99+ day(s) ago | Its too easy to fall into the trap of using drugs. And doctors prescribe them to treat symptoms rather then to treat the true problem the patient suffers. I came back from the war and was offered the easy solution but managed to find a local support group that allowed me to talk through the problems that caused the depression symptoms. I urge you to find a person to talk to rather then to trust a doctor and their easy fix drugs. |
OttOmaNS 99+ day(s) ago | serequel, but to be totally honost with you, for sometime i was depressed as well, i did not use anti depressents, sometimes they make it worse, but i started following sufism (islamic), Prayed and did a bit of yoga, took out alot of stress and made me better (NO more weed) . |
Biohazard 99+ day(s) ago | All these med i writen down need proscription, else i won`t post them. |

Islander 99+ day(s) ago | I 100% agree with Wing. Stay away from drugs like Anti-Depressants - Normal cures are always the best, and a good hump goes a long way to making a man happy :P |
