Hey all. As some might have noticed I havenA't been very active lately. I been thinking and come up with what I have to do. Ever since I took over distemper I fighted to be one of the biggest and active feds around on the rt server. Now that I canA't keep that up I see no other solution then to end the fed. Distemper been around since spring 2004 so it lasted almost 6 years. During that time we made 5 succesful UW:s and we had many many great players. I canA't mention all but u know who u are and IA'm greatful for the many years u spent with me in the fed. I kicked the rest of the members out tonite and will plunder down my planets and then kill the fed I always loved to be a part of within 48 hours.
This is not my personal bye bye, just the distemper bye.

Anyways i completely understand the decision you made. Being part of Distemper for quite a while i witnessed what kind of awesome leader and member it had! Whenever you had time, and for some reason when i was playing in Distemper you were very active...long nights planning, chattin away with agm sidewinder blackangel mac...was surely fun and i learned so much with you and the entire fed. Was an honour being with u guys...
Sad to see it break apart but anyone ever part of it will keep the Dist fighting spirit moving on...

99+ day(s) ago | wow after two years i really enjoyed my time when i earned the right to become a member of Distemper. I will never forget the day that i was accepted intothe fed, i fed like i was finally a real GC player.
Karol, the CHAOS AGENDA will always have a spot for you and for your people, my guys always respected you and i think that all of the older players i learned from would understand you.

99+ day(s) ago | Thanks for all the kind words everyone and I still belive distemper deserved to die with dignity instead of rotten away slowly and painfully. It was always all or nothing for me and when I canA't keep that up then this is the only way to end it.

99+ day(s) ago | i hoped you would have had a change of heart but now it is over. ive only ever been a part of 2 feds in rt and now Distemper has gone the way of TheMarines and another chapter has ended. like others have said as long as ex Distemper members and our allies and enemy`s still play the memory of this great fed will live on. |

99+ day(s) ago | Know this must have been a tough decision Karo but after all your time and effort dont think there would have been anything worse for you than to see the fed really go downhill. Instead you have all the great memories and friends the fed gave you.
My best memories of this game are mostly fighting alongside Distemper and im glad to have got the chance to spend time inside before its end. As others have mentioned the name will go down in GC legend, if the games still here in a few years will be interesting to see what stories are told about it. |

99+ day(s) ago | I used to long for the fall of distemper but now I morn. Distemper was always that old familiar enemy that I could always count on to be around for me to do battle with. Though I know then soul and spirit of distemper has not left this game because I hope it`s members will still be around to play and move on. I still can`t help but feel like i`ve lost a good friend.
My condolences to all members of rt distemper, Former and current.
I understand what you`re doing karo and I respect it mate.

99+ day(s) ago | It`s extremely sad to see the end of Distemper despite my ideals on this game, in my earlier years i fought along side and against distemper on both sides of the BC/Distemper war and since then i`ve found myself fighting with an opposed to until mid late 2006 when i started fighting CC and distemper with everything i had.
I could only dream of the day that i would see Distemper fall, but every time Activity in Distemper would waver i`d find myself going back to a more neutral stance towards them. I truly disliked Distemper with every fiber of my being, but i liked almost every person that was ever in distemper, i often found myself chatting on msn with the people i was at war with talking about nothing more than some random bs.
It really is sad to see it slip away and become a sleeper fed for Karo. I know the spirit of Distemper will still be alive with each member who considers himself a True Distemper member but it just won`t be the same without the old fed.
sadder still for those of us that can remember Distempers creation and original purpose. it`s as if one more of our relics from the past fades away and becomes mere lore and myth for us old timers to talk about. I`ve always felt that as time goes on more and more battle lines get drawn between those old players set in there way, verses the stary eyed new comers trying to bring about their own era. though i know we could never stop the progression of a new era in GC history i always felt that the longer we could hold it off the less obsolete i`d become.
This has been like another nail in that coffin, losing what has always been since it`s conception a staple and a bedrock group in GC. returning players always found comfort in the knowledge that Distemper is still around. It`s difficult to imagine an RT without Distemper. |
