The problem is that the theoretical earning from adverts is something not-smartic. However this assumes everyone clicks on every advert, and is why valuing webpages is almost impossible.
The original adverts were taken down because it took too long to handle the paperwork relating to them. He simply was not making money on them. Even with google ads you still have to monitor it for click fraud etc.
At best adverts could probably just about cover the hosting costs. |

From what I remember, Stephen originally took down the ads cuz some of them were "inappropriate" and he also wasn`t getting that much revenue from them anyways. So for a long time, Stephen forwent a lot of potential ad revenue that he could have been getting just from unobtrusive google ads. |

99+ day(s) ago | AccordEX according to Mara, GC isnt actually making profit anymore. If thats true then the game will be closing whenever the contract with the host/server expires or the domain itself. So really its not all that important to do anything in GC.
Stephen is the owner, i dont believe he did 100% of the work in making this game, i started playing back in the day of beta trails, the last update stephen & treg did.
reverse engineer the game takes time & alot of data input, my own personal experience with that is everyone talks about a NEW WHATEVER, but very very very few people are serious about helping out. Then we do got web-programmers on this game but idk many who can build a copy of this game exactly.
PS: GC needs to be reversed enginnered anyways, the code & database system is old, explains why inputting new information into the game probably is hard to do from staff or stephen point of view. |
