ok since kevin / mara / gollum isnt around anymore i dont know who to ask this question...
but yes i have a copy cat project of GC under works for a long time now, i havent worked on it much this past 6 months cause of lack of helpers & cause some parts are hard & reconfiguring of databases takes up alot of time.
anyways my question was, is it ok if i talk about the subject here or is it restricted still ?
Either way i was going to open up the test accounts, people could play around with them a bit & see what work was done. Im currently starting over on the project on another location, to improve stuff & rewrite alot of code. Mostly i was planning on re-writing the site in AJAX / PHP / MYSQL / CSS / JAVASCRIPT. ajax is new to me, but what im doing with it is basic overall. |

99+ day(s) ago | probably no one here but anfit & greenyedi could probably help, every other web-designer i met doing similar projects havent been able to doublicate GC pass the income system. Its took me 2k lines worth of code & a file size of 135 KB`s, mine income system has 1 major error in there other than that most would say it works perfectly fine.
Core problem anyone will have with doing this stuff is income system & battle system, thats it.
ATM im just redoing the website in AJAX, saves on full page reloads can be built to do the actual REAL-TIME functions, anfits mod make its possible here in GC, but there is only so much you can do. |

99+ day(s) ago | Crazy, I`d be really interested in checking otu what it looks like so far. I know basic C++ and I`m taking a software engineering track at college, so I`ll be learning more and picking up some new languages in the next couple years...
that being said, I doubt I could actually help you out much as I don`t know anything about html and/or networking. |

99+ day(s) ago | Ya conquers looks what happens when i plan to redo the chat system on our website... i end up investing time in reconfiguring my main website to all ajax script.... sadly im catching onto ajax somewhat faster than i figured... but for the flash driven base i wanted to add to the chat, i got to wait 3 days to finish downloading that before i can even mess with anything. |

either way im not the only 1 doing this type of thing, deiloche & another former Guide were also making a similar project but i havent heard anyone who has gotten farther. |
