99+ day(s) ago | they removed a good feature that was a bad feature at the same time: every now and then, the system would post mins at 2x max price. this had the effect of creating inflation by flooding the server with too many mins. put those selling the mns out of business. |

Going into VM, because you cannot find minerals, means you haven`t been checking the market very often. Maybe you havent had the time for it, but then i think the turnbased servers is better for you. I can recommend start playing at fast - very good server. |

99+ day(s) ago | yeah don`t want to sound like i`m arrogant or anything, but in the past 8-10 days as a new empire i have over a couple mill in minerals just from checking every now and then and then buying as i see them. i don`t sit there and refresh waiting for them to show up only to have them suddenly bought instantly. the minerals are there. you just need to be observant. Problem solved mates. |

I cant see how you call this balance when the food market is flooded and the min market is dry for weeks. I have been VMing my RT empire because I want to play collective and I am out of money and mins.
There are players who just don`t care to play A. Miner no matter what the market. Looks like there are alot of them.
You seem to say that those players just don`t matter, but you say that as the game slowly loses players. Maybe doing sonething to keep people around might be in order, rather than your "suck it up" message? |

99+ day(s) ago | It takes time for the server to balance out. There has been modifications to the game to make it more fun and balanced. Hence tweeked race modifiers.
Now the black market was only a short term fix, and now that the races have been tweeked, there is no need.
At the end of the day, if you have a problem with the lack of minerals, *change it today and go A,Miner*.
However what you will find is, a high percentage see A.Miner being a profitable race, and rush into being A.Miners hence higher production/than supply... Lower prices... This continues until people leave/restart and then the balance evens out...
It`s a constantly changing formula. At the end of the day, there isnt a shortage... It`s just all the very active players buy it quick (F5) and stockpile it. The big empires then climb 100 Million PR a day quite happily.
So the solution:
Mine the minerals yourself,
Go a race that doesnt need many minerals,
Learn to fight within your mineral needs,
Watch the market like a hawk (F5),

99+ day(s) ago | never understood why if people have a prob with the market they should go a miner, why not go guard or maru they barely use any mins and can climb high in pr, and not all miners are mineral miners, those with low planets usually are tax and have to inturn buy minerals themselves, only high planet miners don`t really need to buy mins |

99+ day(s) ago | Point of having minerals is to save up money. These money are nice to have because it allows you to spam or build whatever fleet you want at whatever time you need it. It is as simple as that.

My miner empire produces more than the server needs for ship building - but why would I sell all those minerals, as the only thing I would get very fast is maxed credits. Once I max out the 3 minerals i produce you can be sure that i will start putting minerals on the market. It is just a matter of time, becuase the recent UW took away all the minerals. I am sure the other mineral miners will have to post at some point as well.
Only good solution is to lower the mineral cap - not a black market. |
