I have put up with so much stuff from people in this game but this uw by opus is the lasts
straw for me. For numerous reason.
1. first off opus wouldnt even be up there if not for most of CC participating in an event
that our admins spent thier time designing and running.
Opus was in the event but apparently he figure he didnt want to particapate with the rest
of the gc community he would rather just take advantage of everyone else who is
participating. So now the people still in the event have to deal with opus`s buddies hitting
them with huge spams while they have to 6 stack or lose points. for instance kinda hard to
beat a 135mil lictor spam from 2x with a 6stack. Then we have a guard leader rakin in points
becasuse arch who isnt in the event spams you down till you dont have a stack then hits you
with orinos for points. sigh. As cheap as all that was I was fine with it until he whined
to admins about the npc`s, Now they can`t hit opus even tho he orchestrated everything.
In my opinion if the admins had any backbone they would have told opus if you start a uw
during an ongoing event then deal with the consequences. But now the event is toast all
because of one person who would rather mess it up for everyone then wait until the event was
over. |

And you are right, Mara, there is no "rule" against the NPCs hitting the UW. Of course, if the NPCs that were created for the purpose of the event were to operate outside of the bounds of the event for the goals and desires of the holder rather than in character of the NPC is, by definition, an abuse of power. No rule against it, certainly, yet a very fine ground upon which to walk.

I don`t think opus intentionally set out to do it this way, but I must say, it was quite smart, even if it wasn`t intentional. UWs are tough, and on RT especially they are not something that one can do by oneself. It is a matter of support. Opus belongs to a much less powerful faction and most of what he possessed was neutrality from people such as myself, who didn`t care either way. After all, nobody who has set off a UW states it everyone when at base PR then proceeds to build up. There is no super powerful faction around where that is possible. Though MK on slow hit that state after pullo burned all his artifacts ending my last failed attempt.
This event was interesting, sure, but it wasn`t the entire server. It isn`t as if the server was an event server, it is a server upon which other empires exist, empires who have goals and an existence aside from the event. Sure, many of you just play, and many of you could not imagine blowing up your hard earned empire. Anyways, Opus is leaving and this is his last shot to do something. The timing, while convenient, as far as I know is coincidental and mostly because this event has been going on for quite a while.

1. We pay money to play this game - everyone reads the R&R (thats Rules and Regulations)
2. This isn`t Facebook - where the "cool folk" with the most friends "rock" - this is a war game... My god -- some people need to hug some tree`s...

Ultimate Weapon:
(defense points void during this time for fed in question)
48 point if its destroyed in under 12 hours
24 if its under 24
0 if after 24 hour
+2 point from each fed still active per hour after 24 hour
in the case of successful UW a further 100 point per fed will be destroyed
If he wanted to do the uw then he should have stayed in his event fed and done it. But no he decided to say screw the event and the people promoting it, and left the event knowing it would be tons easier to setup and do his uw while everyone else is busy with the event. Everyone has known for along time opus wanted to do a uw. When this event started i figure he would be the one doing it for his fed. But no he wussed out and side tracked the whole event. fun fun for everyone. :) |

You know one of the reasons i even struggle on with my little useless tax empire is becuase of all you and bw and others have put into it. i try to keep the event alive and stay in my little fed to try make it worth your while to continue to do events and make good changes to keep this game alive. Only to get slapped in the face, and told by the people who i try to help, that the event means nothing.
Bah i think i just need to take a break for awhile, getting too worked up over a game.
my events do mean nothing compaired to events the players themselves put forward effort into making themselves ( OM ) , i respect and value people who volunteer their own hard work for the fun of the game...
thats 48 hours of hard work no matter how much you whine thats enough for any empire on RT to do something to stop it... 1 empire can single handedly pawn a npc from 2b PR in RT without the 24 hour notice and starting from below 100m...
normally within the first 24 hours too

99+ day(s) ago | Maradian, i wasnt talking of manners im talking about using a non event player to know out balanced fleets into a spam, or less than 6 stack formation, then using another event player to make a hit, therefore losing points for your event fed. I dont think this contingency was though of before the event was made, or im sure it would have been illigal, as non event people shouldnt be shaping the outcome of the event. I really dont care about this much at all and dont care to discuss it in depth. what i really have a problem with is opus getting to use this event as a shield for his , instead of having his allies keep his enemies down..
isnt that like having someone throw a smoke grenade at the enemy before you atack them... ?
