  Lyth Build Rate  

Ya Ya i know the A.miner or Viral dont wanna hear it

but anyone want to nerf the build rate to 1, since the darn ship is still overpowering & it has an advanage of faster build than other ships of other races that dont have over powering ships. OH

I do play as guard and know they can climb higher with their turns than other races, but don`t forget the trade offs. If you play as A.Miner, without much effort you can have a high planet count and make a lot of money despite what kind of clusters you have. If you play as Collective/Viral, you`ll be able to capture ships and in the case of playing as viral choose ships from other races. Marauders have very low upkeep ect ect...

I know and understand this is all very basic knowledge, but like these races guardians have a unique attribute making them different. When compared to most other races, it`s much more difficult to create a decent Guardian empire, even more so on turn-based.

If there is a major problem with Guardian`s unique build rate ability it should be addressed, but I don`t think people (especially on turn-based) who put in the time to make a successful and powerful guardian empire should be punished because it may seem overpowered by others. This goes for any race.

Your right, I wasn`t thinking when I stated that. I meant the PR associated with each ship is larger when compared to other races. The build rate for most of the larger ships is small though.

Thanks for clarifying it. PR/turn is exactly what i think of. (buildrate to me has always meant how much PR you build per turn, as that is the only relevant parameter). All the new ships with extreme resist combined with the very high PR/turn on all the ships is the problem, and gives too much of an advantage.

I don`t see how it is destroying the game PistolPete. Maybe you could elaborate a bit more. It seems to me that it`s not so much the buildrate as it is the turn/PR ratio. Most of the build rates guardians have are small. Historically they have always had this advantage.

The only race that has ships with too much build rate is guardians. That is really destroying the game at turnbased. RT they are not overpowered.

Build rate is fine. To be honest Lyths were never truly a problem for me, it is the people who do not use Lyths that cause more problems.

There is no need to nerf the ship. Far stronger ones then Lyth out there.

But for your sake, lets say they do...

Oh Look, now ship A and ship B is to strong. Lets nerf them as well.

We better nerf ship C as that is to strong now. It just goes on and on.

They look for balance, and the Lyth is. You are not a newb to the game so do what people with experience do, and that is find the best ship in your ship list and use some strategy to win. The Lyth has weakness, use them to your advantage.

i`d say lower br to 1 but maybe increase hull/weapon a bit so it can have a higher pr like 40-45k
